Thank you so much for your kind words. I pray that God blesses your family as well. I am sorry that you could not attend but it sounds like you were right where you needed to be.
We drove from Denver since it was cheaper than flying. The Obama economy saw to that. My wife has been laid off for more than three years now and despite constant job searching, can’t get even a single response. At least I still have a job.
As I never served in the military, I truly thank you for your service. Given all of the ridiculous things the government wastes money on, it is a shame that we don’t do a better job of compensating our service members. My wife has been keeping busy by running the food bank at our church and she recently had the idea of checking with our local Air Force base (Buckley) to see if they had a need for food. The base chaplain was ecstatic and she and others are currently taking a truck over there at least once a month.
The response was so great and the need so much larger than expected, she is now trying to find a way to visit them more often while still continuing to feed the 150 or so families per week that come to the church. It is shameful that any of our military families have to depend upon charity to feed them.
No, maybe I just deny Glenn Beck (as either an authentic conservative) and also as not a Christian.
To some that means I am denying conservatism.
My point is I’d rather follow Christ than be (any label) of conservatism anyway, so if comes down to it..
Well said, noiseman! We was in Dallas last week and I fully concur...
Ooop! I was talking to my son and typing at the same time. I *meant* to say: We were in Dallas...
Sheesh.
If do you your own homework, from the original sources (I did and so have many, many people), you’ll have clarity on what Beck’s been talking about. He has an uncanny batting average. Witness the disaster of the “Egyptian Spring” and the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood. He was one of the few who called it.
It is true - the weekend was about the people who attended... not about star power or any of that stuff. Yes, we were looking forward to the event on Saturday night, but the majority of the conversation I heard from Wednesday on was, “Did you get your service project? What are you doing?” It was about SERVICE. It was about the best of our country.
I’m sure you all know that the role of the rodeo clown, which he’s called himself numerous times, is to protect the cowboy from the bull after a fall until the rider can regain his balance and get out of harm’s way. I’d say that’s fairly accurate.
I’m looking forward to viewing the other two events on-demand since I was at our vendor exhibit during those times.
Time will tell. The feeling throughout the weekend, and on the way out of a near-spotless stadium, was one of renewal. Laugh all you want. Our nation needs the strength for what is to come in the new few months, and if I’m wrong, I’m wrong. I think this event, and the massive number of people who traveled TO SERVE, is a big positive.
Then we must be talking about different people.
Mormonism teaches their Jesus is A son of god NOT THE Son of God.
Mormonism teaches MANY godS, not one god.
Mormonism teaches their Jesus is created and NOT eternal.
Your view of Mormonism is incorrect.
Yep. Go with that. Follow the Weepy One down his Trail of Tears.
I’ll stick with the serious knowledgable conservatives.

Well he's got several marks......errr....followers here, so I'd say yes, he sure does.
Somewhere P.T. Barnum is saying "I told you so!"
Hank
Yep.
Hank, what’s wrong with recognizing, respecting, and communicating the Founding principles?

Nothing. People like Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh and Mike Church do it wonderfully on a daily basis. Beck? He's riding a wave. "Hey, this TeaParty thing is big! Let's get out in front of it!"
Listen to this fraud carefully, as I have. There's zero substance. Someone must have whispered in his ear about Woodrow Wlson, so he knows enough about him to be dangerous. Otherwise, he's all platitudes, cliches and empty emoting.
Jimmy Swaggart does it much better for my money.
