The suit also alleged negligent infliction of emotional distress on behalf of Nguyen, who maintains there were no written warnings about the ledgeThe emotional distress should be "what an idiot I was to kill my child by doing something anyone with an ounce of common sense would recognise as extremely dangerous." Losing a child is probably the worse possible thing that can happen. Maybe being an idiot lessens the pain.
