I have 4 cell lines sharing 750 min.voice/month, unlimited texting and no internet for $140 from Verizon. Whenever I shop "great deals" at other carriers , it's no better. I actually have an even worse deal on two non-contract Verizon phones, but I'm ashamed to mention the details, except Verizon just confiscated $10 worth of calls that had gone unused on one of those.

The Federal Government has programs that allow for up to $1,200 in repairs on a Used Car that is purchased by a low income person for personal use.
Believe it!

Must be Obama’s crones in the communications industry who are the real recipients of the largesse then.

I know a free loader that has this. It is a trackphone by the way. Only the government provide the phone and it basically does not work most of the time. Calls won’t go through and when they do then only one side can hear the other. A normal trackphone works fine in the same area.
The guy also has a reduced rate land line phone. Lifeline or something it is called. The government just gave him an ultimatum. He can have one or the other, but not both.

These phones lead to massive fraud. There was an article recently about the FCC being taken to task for lack of oversight for this program.
I have personally spoken with several people who are defrauding this government program by having multiple phones within a family.
If you qualify, and requirements vary from state to state, you will get an Assurance phone and 250 minutes of airtime with the Assurance Wireless program at absolutely no cost involuntarily paid for by US taxpayers who actually pay taxes.
Let's get real, shall we?

My husband and I use Boost mobile. He has a regular flip phone and I have an android. His runs $50 a month and mine is $60.
Unlimited talk, text and web.
I’m giving the android to my son and getting a flip phone for myself. I’ve discovered that I’m a bit of a Luddite in that regard.

Nice. Im still waiting for the car with 5 gallons of gas per month./s Sooner rather than later. We provide free housing, food, edjumacation, and health care to the indolent at our expense. We pay for cash EBT cards that can be used for anything to subsidize the life style of those who preferto vote for a living rather than work for a living.
