Great job kid, now patent it and make yourself some money. We need more young entrepreneurs.

“Andraka won $100,000 in prize money, which he plans to put toward college.”
Somehow I don’t think he’ll be needing to pay for college...
Way to go, son!

He is going to put the $100,000 prize money towards college.
Somehow I don’t think he will need to worry. Top colleges will seek him out. He is a bright kid-no (Insert word)studies major for him.

Jack Andraka's pancreatic cancer test is 28 times cheaper and about 1,000 times more sensitive than current tests. (Society for Science & the Public)

Good one!! If there was such a major that actually dealt with finding a cure or early diagnosis of the various cancers it would be a perfect fit.
Most .... studies programs as you know deal with grievances and victims.
If Obama had a son , he would look like this.

And I’m sure if a Kardashian or St. Trayvon had a chance, they would’ve done this too, right?

"Andraka won $100,000 in prize money"Good Deal! Yesterday it was only $75,000. I believe this story but it sure raises a lot of questions. How the heck did he 'invent' the test and make the 'test strips' that it uses. Yesterday, they were said to cost 5 cents each - no profit in that - Big Pharma won't follow up with no profit to them!

Ok, so good job, sonny. But WTF are the leading scientists in this field doing to have missed this? This would be a no-brainer. Duh, look for an early precursor. Something is fishy here. Let’s see, we want to detect when a skunk comes close, so lets sample for skunk smell. What am I missing?

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the brilliant engineering minds at M.I.T. have made a critically, important discovery of a substance that solves the age old problem of getting ketchup that is stuck at the bottom of a bottle....
