Why do we need this kind of specialist in the US army?

I had an interesting experiment on facebook, in which every liberal talking point I met first with a remark about not helping the cause of free flow of ideas by name-calling, and then by pointing out facts that contradicted the posting. Over time, I now have none of my liberal friends posting “dart-throwing” articles and none call anyone names anymore. They were shamed into behaving.

I also learned who my conservative friends were.

There were also many who did not joint the arguments, but I figured they were always on line, so they were watching.

I finally had one Canadian just apologize and quit my facebook friendship with her because she decided she no longer liked to talk politics. Go figure, she was originally one of the dart throwers.

I had another final calm down enough to ask another conservative how Obama was violating the Constitution (under the theory that she could never name one). I responded by pointing out seven instances in which he violated the COnstitution, by quoting the language of the Constitution, and then quoting the laws he has signed or the articles from liberal sources. In some cases, these people never hear a conservative speak for himself. I think she was surprised, because she has not posted since.

This is how to change hearts and minds. I doubt that I did, but there were many watching, and I certainly demoralized the loud mouths on my friend list.

It is my own pipes and drums responding to the drumbeat of which you speak, and it speaks loudly to those that hear, if not far.

It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months.

And where is Congress? Where are the voices which should be damning the occupant of the White House so loudly for this usurpation? Those we have entrusted with our tax dollars and our freedom?

If they will not raise protest, or better yet, impeach this usurper, they have abdicated their sacred trust to stand with him in treason.

Correct me if I am in error, but I think that you and I are on the same page.

To test that interpretation I posted a part of your quote. My concern is that most voters do NOT hear the drumbeat of Dictatorship. Thus, those who do hear are aware that our freedoms of choices are nearly gone.

In our soundbite society a reasoned dialog quickly becomes two monologues, with no communication, except that the other guy is REALLY wacko.

Hence, I used the soundbite label “Dictator Baby-Doc Barak.”
