Funny you say that. Steel, was the actor in Michael Shayne ever a JD? It sounds like it; I can think of one early episode in particular.

Ah! I missed that bit—running around doing laundry and all. I understand now.

Goodnight, Vision and Friends!
This is a creepy Inner Sanctum tale beginning!

Good for you.Yes, Vision, it WAS good for us. Keith's chili is the best in the world, and the fire in our little fire bowl outside was really swell, and the beautiful night sky was a perfect backdrop to our listening of the Big Broadcast, which we both enjoy very much together each Sunday night with all of you. Thank you for including both of us in this thread (we hope you are still enjoying the smoking wood Keith--logitech--cut for you).

Jeff Chandler (Michael Shayne) has been heard often on the Big Broadcast as Mr. Boynton, the science teacher in “Our Miss Brooks” but he never played Johnny Dollar nor appear as a guest actor in any YTJD episode. Chandler later became a lead actor in many motion pictures.

I believe I've read all the Mike Shayne Mystery novels and have them still as a collection. Read a few as a teen. Started collecting them in the late 1980s at used book stores in towns that I would visited, then completed the collection via the web at Advanced Book Exchange. Thanks for the info!
