I like Luna.
I like Luna, too. I’d love to drift about, apparently clueless, letting people know what I really think ...
Tonks didn’t have to wait six months for her hair color to change.
I like the fact that the History of Magic professor is a ghost, having died in his position and simply continued teaching post-death. It reminds me of the archivist at the North Carolina History department in Wilmington library who said the archive is supposed to be haunted by researchers who died before they found everything they were looking for.
My hair changes by itself according to season.
Mine grows steadily whiter.
Nick is my favorite ghost although this is probably just because John Cleese plays him in the movies.
I liked the plot with the Grey Lady and the Bloody Baron in the last book, although it was almost entirely dropped from the movie.
Well, le sigh. Time to get Bill up so he can practice for Mass ... a set of sad Mexican songs in honor of Soraida’s late mother, Salome. We should probably distribute packages of tissues around the sanctuary, because everyone will be crying.
Tonk and Nearly Headless Nick are my favorites, though Hagrid runs a close third.
It must be time to read them again, as once again, I’ve read everything in the little “trading” library we have. I read “You Only Life Twice” last night and realized I haven’t seen the movie since it first came out - 1960-somthing... It was all new to me! LOL!
Face, you once mentioned your preference for using natural remedies. What do you use for aching joints besides ice? (Topical and enteral.)
Right now I use Celadrin Cream, which I got on iherb.com, but while I was working, I used Icy-Hot. The drawback with that is that the odor was LASTING! This cream loses it’s odor about the time it begins to work (within five minutes) so by the time I need more (about three hours) I don’t mind using it again.
White willow bark capsules are also good (aspirin is the man-made version of this) and they don’t upset your stomach. You can get them on iherb.com as well.
Let me know what you use and how it works. Not everyone gets the same benefits from the same medicines, but remember that these are herbal remedies, and do not work like man-made. It may take longer to see results, but the results are longer-lasting.
Hair? You have hair?
Why, back in the old days we only had twigs and bark to decorate ourselves, but we liked it!
I’m thinking of covering my gray with a light red...nothing brassy...just classy! I’ll keep thinking of it until I decide, and then we will see about having a photo taken.
(Won’t THAT be something!)
Yes. I propose using a scene still from the new John Carter of Mars movie for background.
Not something to distract from the important object, but just enough to set the stage for proper context.
Speaking of which (witch?), why isn’t Peeves in any of the movies?
Catpuppy would vote for blue...
That’s just WRONG!!!
Grumbling rugs don’t care where they go or how much mess they make. They’re like iguanas.
I’m going to give up my cable TV entirely. The few stations they have left me with are sappy, leftist and come in snowy or with no sound, or both.
And as soon as I can afford the new phone and the tether, I will get rid of Cox entirely. But don’t get me started...
We can’t subscribe to satellite TV because they no longer want the dishes attached to the eaves, so it looks like I will have to get my TV on the ‘net.
And, might I add, I loathe, detest and abhor DST?
It’s a really mild day, with temps headed for the upper 70’s, and although there is a wind from the SW, it isn’t excessively ugly as the last week has been.
