Mandel Kramer's Dollar seems the warmest & friendliest to me. I may have mentioned that I used to explore the radio dials as a kid, to see what stations I could pick up from around the country. I stumbled on Dollar/Suspense broadcasts on Sunday night. I heard a few of the Bob Readick episodes before Kramer took over, so there's that, too.
It was weird at first with the mysterious burglaries, but then the story became clear.
While youre here...next Sunday Ill be traveling for business. I can get a thread up but doubt I can be here to host it. Can you two take over?
Sure, Vision. We will be here, Lord willing. If you can show me what to do, the ping list and all, we'll be glad to host it with Steel's help, too.
Oh, that’s awful! The banker killing himself.
Yeah, but back then, the banks kept the money more “purely” in the banks—the depositors’ money. To lend that much without sure collateral, is not only risky, but foolish.
Hey, I’ve never dropped in before, this is awesome. I used to watch Boston Blackie as a kid, didn’t know it was a radio show also. I assume the radio show predates the TV show.
And William Conrad speaking as Matt Dillion. He had to be pretty young.
WAMU means Eastern USA and I’m out West, so I can’t listen. Love your “Warm up the tubes” thing. I’ll be warming mine soon, but I’m talking about the tubes in my old Ampeg amp, which I use for practicing bass around the house. Big geezer rock gig Friday night, gotta get ready...
Congrats on a cool regular thread.

Let me know if you want on the ping list.
Thanks Vision, didn’t catch the link before. Ping not needed, I drop by enough on Sunday evenings to catch the feed.
Thanks again,
SW
Night all, I’m off to listen by the radio.
Reagan as the bad guy...interesting...
Have a great week.
Welcome SW. More is better.
SaxxonWoods, you should go ahead and get on the ping list to more conveniently join us.
Vision does not always post the list at the same time each Sunday.
