I never said I wanted to shoot your dogs be it on or off of your property.

So calm down.

A sandwich would calm me down nicely.

Too bad you’re not around Cody. I make a pretty awesome BBQ Prime Rib sandwich on homemade sourdough.

I don’t know what’s wrong with you, but here we have a puppy shot and killed on the owner’s land, and your knee-jerk was to defend the shooter— with no other facts in evidence. That’s messed up, OK? Most regular folk ~like~ puppies. Especially little golden retriever puppies.

So the owner has a few dogs and they were out playing in their very own 50 acres. I didn’t see anything about them harming anyone else’s livestock, or even being on somebody else’s land. You had to invent that part. With 50 acres to play around on, I’m guessing the odds are they were on their own place. The others came home when called, so they couldn’t have been too far away.

I’d say the more likely scenario is that there’s some little snot-nosed brat out shooting other people’s dogs just for the twisted fun of it. I don’t even have to invent any facts to make that guess fit.

Ah, but it goes both ways. The OP as well as others are assuming alot of things, too.

1st off, I know this community somewhat. It’s a beautiful old town surrounded by farms - but lately being more invaded by suburbanite DC elite (who will change it into LiberalLand) with their developments. Never mind the snoops here who find out the property in question is closely shadowed by such housing.

So, yes, it could’ve been a jerk shooting a dog for fun, or even a “hunting” accident, in this area.

But the dog may’ve just died on their farm - we DON’T know he was “shot and killed” there.

Since there are other farms nearby, it could’ve been a farmer protecting his land. 5 dogs together? Always a chance they ganged up on something.

Yeah, golden pups are just one step away from being wolves as we all know.

#1. A 7 month old dog is not a puppy.

#2. Golden Retrievers are not always harmless.

#3. The Kaufmann property is not fenced and when the Kaufmanns let their dogs out to run there are twelve other homes within 1500 feet of their house. Most of those neighbors are closer to the Kaufmann home than the farthest part of their farm. Here’s their address (public information) so feel free to go see for yourself on Google; 2912 Station Road, Middletown, Maryland.

#4. The Kaufmanns *say* that the dogs were on their property. That’s nice, but where they have no fence on the property forgive me if that’s not a certainty to me. I’m content to wait and see what the police have to say.

#5. I never said that their dogs harmed anyone else’s livestock. As to Kaufmann’s assertion that the dog was on her land all the time I can’t tell you how many “good” dogs we used to find on our ranch in California so forgive me if I’m a little cynical about this assertion.

“That is not fair!”

True, especially when you’re trying to watch your weight.

I live here. This rat politician is all over the news. I have no problem with you dealing with idiots like this yourself. A registry is kind of stupid though.

Yes, but it hasn’t yet been established that any of the dogs were chasing poultry or livestock.

All that is known is that one dog is dead, either shot while on it’s owner’s property or shot while loose on someone else’s property.

Yep, this case could go either way. We’ll see if there are any updates.

Yep, time will tell. I hope for the sake of other dog owners in the area that this is not the work of some sadist.

If the dog was shot because it was caught chasing/attacking livestock, then the shot was a good shot.

You should be aware of this. Anyone killing one of my dogs is a dead person walking. The only questions are where, when, and how. And I assure you I will hold the answer to each of those questions.

Your assumption of innocence based on the breed of dog is naive.

As I mentioned, PACKS could be involved and are a powerful thing.

And there was much more to my post than a GR may’ve possibly chased livestock. But you couldn’t seem to rebut those.

Seven month old female G.R. aren’t violent.

The rest of your post was speculation that you simply made up so I could make some stuff up like you did but I would rather stay on topic.
