I guess ol’ Tyler didn’t forget how to find the little man in the canoe! (Maybe that’s where the saying came from).

Harrison Tyler [the grandson] is a retired businessman who owns his grandfather’s Sherwood Forest Plantation in Charles City, Virginia and oversees its charitable foundation. In January 2012, he denounced Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich as a big jerk, citing his discomfiture with Gingrich’s three marriages.

Oh, well.
He had 2 wives.
(from wiki)
With his two wives, Tyler fathered more children than any other president in history.[94] His first wife was Letitia Christian Tyler (November 12, 1790 September 10, 1842), with whom he had eight children:[95]
1.Mary Tyler (181547)
2.Robert Tyler (181677)
3.John Tyler, Jr. (181996)
4.Letitia Tyler Semple (18211907)
5.Elizabeth Tyler (182350)
6.Anne Contesse Tyler (1825)
7.Alice Tyler (182754)
8.Tazewell Tyler (183074)
Tyler’s wife Letitia died in the White House in September 1842.
Tyler’s second wife, Julia Gardiner Tyler.
His second wife was Julia Gardiner Tyler (July 23, 1820 July 10, 1889), with whom he had seven children:[96]
1.David Gardiner Tyler (18461927)
2.John Alexander Tyler (184883)
3.Julia Gardiner Tyler Spencer (184971)
4.Lachlan Tyler (18511902)
5.Lyon Gardiner Tyler (18531935)
6.Robert Fitzwalter Tyler (18561927)
7.Pearl Tyler (18601947)
lmao...
My grandmother, who was Scots-Irish from Belfast, had 22 children.
**** “Did you know the last surviving veteran of the US Civil War died in 1959?” ****
I remember where I lived and what I was dong that day... I asked my Mom “ Do you think he knew Davy Crockett? “
TT
Funny thing is longevity runs in my family, but not particularly late childbearing. I was born in the early 60’s and all of my grand parents were born in the 1800’s.
Folks that know me here know this trait runs in my own patrifamilia
And I do get ribbed with fembot motivated old tadpoles being defective canards a bit
I’ve only fathered at 50....unlike old greatx1 grandpa and other grands who did in their 70s
“John Tyler was like 4 or 5 presidents BEFORE Lincoln.”
6, actually. John Tyler was President #10.
And during the WBTS he was elected to the Confederate House of Representatives although he died before it convened.
