Why? To get the message out to other Brits that they can build their own guns and tell their would-be masters to GF themselves.

Or why show off a device you made that you found didn’t work in testing and then try again in you neighbor’s bedroom?

I’ve seen guns made by palestinian children. Its dangerous to be on either end but the principle is sound and shows why guns will never be eradicated.

This illustrates an argument I’ve made in the past to gun grabbers. Firearms technology has been around a long time. A crude, but effective gun can be manufactured from materials readily available at any hardware store, as well as other, more deadly weapons.

In England you get five years in prison for possession of a handmade zip gun.
Man, by that standard I must be an even worse criminal than Slobodan Milosevic in their eyes. Maybe even like Mao Tse-Tung.
Good thing I don't live there, or any place where possession of a bottle of Scotch gets you 100 lashes across the back with an oiled steel cable.

Seems that lethal cross bows would be easier to mass produce.

Doesn’t the camouflage painting make it an assault pistol?

What a coinkydink. I work in Anderson, IN and was talking to a woman in her 80s today. She said she worked on the Guide Lamp line during WWII making those pistols
They made this in Anderson too. Lots of stamped parts, went together fast compared to the Thompson.

The ones that made it into the hands of the resistance were greatly appreciated and another tool for them and it was much better than being completely unarmed.
Those that assembled them were doing a good thing...

Oh Brittania, how far you've fallen.
70 years ago you were making these to send to Europe to help people defend themselves from Nazis:

Now your own people have to make these to protect themselves from criminals - at the risk of being jailed by their own police forces:

Did you know there's a phoenix comet in the southern sky?
