5th and 6th place finishers don’t get tickets out of Iowa.........................................................................................
Ah ok gotcha
Florida is a split state, but I wouldnt necessarily say the republicans are liberal. This is the state that voted Rubio over Crist overwhelmingly in the senate primary.
The contrast between Iowa & NH against SC and FL is very stark. Gingrich’s calling of Romney a Massachusetts moderate will resonate in the South. It is good that Newt does what he can in Iowa and NH. I want this fresh in everybody’s minds when they come down South.
ROFL. May I steal that and use it?
This year may be different. 75% will not vote for Romney. If Santorum melts down, I could easily see a Newt Gingrich or Rick Perry coming back and taking SC with Mitt stuck at 25%.
Steal it? It's a gift. To all who want it. Happy New Year.
Tomorrow I think I'll work on the versions where it's just empty, or a pollster or Mitt himself pops out and ask "what would you like them to be today?"
Ack! Wrong .gif. I was talking about 'core values.' But I'm trying to groom a dog, read a book, eat potato chips/leftover dip, and remove dog hairs from the dip. I can't be expected to keep track of other things.
We have Fred Thompson to thank for McCain as the Republican nominee in 2008, wrote Lane, who said he sees Santorum playing a similar role this time by undercutting better-funded opponents.”
I would posit that we have Dr. Dobson and Mike Huckabee to thank for McCain - not Fred Thompson, Mr. Lane.
“In an email to POLITICO, Lane elaborated: Right now it looks like 2008. Evangelicals, generally speaking, dont understand politics.
Well said...”
“Well said” is right, if you include evangelical would-be king-makers like Mr. Lane himself in that assessment.
Theres going to be a lot of pressure on all of these other candidates to get with the team, get with the program and line up behind Mitt Romney, said Muth, who leans toward Gingrich in the race. If they cant rally behind Gingrich, theyre going to come to the conclusion that they have to settle for Romney whether they like it or not.
Does this Muth seriously think “these other candidates” will be able to rally their conservative voters to line up behind Mitt Romney whether they like it or not? Romney’s scorched earth campaign has already doomed him in the general, even if he gets the nomination.
You have too much time on your hands, brother.
LOL! Moderates like me!
I was a Tom Tancredo guy! But of all the candidates by far the biggest statists were McStain and Huckster. I saw no real difference between the two- both statist frauds who live for the approval of the MSM.
Huck is the biggest fraud ever to try to pass himself off as a conservative. Yeahhe’s pro-life....but he’s pretty much a garden variety mushy FoxNews moderate otherwise. Total fraud. Just like his weekly Lawrence Welk Hour.
Besides which he has the intellectual depth of a grapefruit.

Coalesce around? People don’t agree who to coalesce around.
I’d posit we have John McCain and GBW to thank for Obama-ALL that McCain had to do was vote against George Bush (goldman sachs) and Obama’s bailout bill of the Banks, and HE would be president-Remember with Palin he was on top at the time until this happened!~
Florida went for Obama just a few years ago, and they nearly went for Gore in 2000. Don’t pretend like they’ve suddenly had a change of heart.
Let me confuse you with a few facts.
Filth’s total national vote tally outside of Florida in 2008 was 65,174,823 to McStain’s 55,880,190. That’s 53.8% to 46.2% (considering just those two).
By contrast, in Florida, the vote was 4,282,074 to 4,045,624. That’s 51.4% to 48.6%, which is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the GOP fared nationwide.
Then, 2 years later, Florida elected a very conservative U.S. Senator and a conservative governor.
When did Florida last elect a Republican governor? 1998!
Nothing “sudden.” The state’s been trending GOP for decades.
Hank
Romney is pulling his steady 25% - 30%. Combine that with the Democrats and you have a state with a lot of liberals, because let’s face it, Romney might as well have a (D) next to his name.
