My 13th anniversary is tomorrow, brother!
I was trying to count how many people I’ve brought into the FR fold and lost count at about 17.
Happy New Year and happy Freeping to all!
Jim, thank you for letting me “play” here for thirteen years. You have been a man of principle during that entire time, from daring to hold President Clinton accountable in 1998 to today, reminding us daily not to fall for false conservative candidates served up by the GOP. Happy New Year to you, the missus, and John.
Registered and Buckhead, I have mentioned your contributions here, but don’t know if you still post or even lurk here. I hope you see this and stop in to say hello to all the Freepers.
You are just a noobie ibtz
Excellent postings and congrats to you! I too started lurking here and showed up for the March for Justice and the December rally at the Capitol steps. I went by train from NJ alone and was so inspired to find like minded folks there I eventually signed up here too. I read with relish all the unabashed Saturday protests at the White House, Kristinn’s showing up at the Church on Sundays when the odious ones attended to keep an eye on them and let them know we’re out here, freepers showing up at hearings on their lunch time. Alamo Girl’s extensive records on the clinton corruption, the awful tense times of the 2000 election and recounts where freepers went to Florida to help in the recount by monitoring. The court hearings afterwards when freepers like Barbara Olsen and her like explained what was happening with the rulings. I sat all day and night in front of my computer when 9/11 happened to get the story of what happened. So many memories and I owe so much thanks to Jim for creating a place for us all to congregate.
Don’t fall over—I actually posted a thread!
Happy New Year to you and to your families!
Mine also!
I’ll be posting my “13 Thread” in April. Congrats to an old FRiend!
Happy Anniversary, exit82! I was prompted by your post to check my date. Turns out I’ve been freepin’ since Oct. 26, 1998! And lurking long before that! 13 years! Long time!
Best to you and yours.
Congrats. I happen to have you beat by 9 months & approx 2000 more replies. This is the only site that I feel comfortable replying. Happy New Year to all.
Best to you and yours.
Newby. 15 years as of 3 days ago. And I lurked for a long before I got the courage to sign up. I think I came here after Jim posted something in the old Prodigy WW boards that he was experimenting with a forum. Maybe up to a year or so prior to joining in?
Welcome aboard, newbie!
I might not have dates and events correct but it seems to me that FR came to my attention at the time Perot was giving Clinton and Bush1 a run for the money. As I lurked it became apparent that FR was to be my stomping ground. So it has been all these years. My big wish is that FR becomes/is the flag for leading this Nation back to the government our Founding Fathers intended.
Happy 13th. Mine was last January 31 so next month will be my 14th!
My favorite time here was posting LIVE during the Iraq war. We were up late and many of us were watching video feeds from Bahgdad.
I’ll never forget “Achmed” the sweepr and the guy that changed the lens on the cameras. We saw lots of explosions and heard more. One hit so close to the cameras we could see the dust and debri falling.
And, of course, the 2000 and 2004 elections. Good times.
Indeed 98 was a good year, 10-13-98.
Happy and a prosperous new year to all.......
Amen, brother!!! And congratulations on your Baker's Dozen at FR. Me, I'm just a pup at 11+ yrs.
Best wishes for a great new year, and here's to no longer being the redheaded stepchildren of the GOP!
Happy 13th, dude :)
I went back and read your linked thread. TOO many Rombots on that thread, my friend. Waaaaaaaaaay to many. What were they thinking???
Happy Anniversary! Thanks for being here. Happy New Year to all FReepers and like-minded lurkers.

Happy Anniversary! I joined in 2000 and lurked for a while prior. I was drawn here due to VF. I was a USPP intern at the scene at Ft. Marcy. I learned alot and made alot of connections..
