So what are
YOU doing to change the law?
I very strongly believe in the 2nd , but I also very strongly believe that I want to stay out of jail.
I don't see YOU going to NY to test the law!

For one thing, I will never blame the victim of unjust and Unconstitutional laws.
How about starting there?

'why do people want to volunteer info about their own personal firearms like this?"She took being from the VOLUNTEER state a tiny bit too literally. That said, the NYC thugs with badges clearly over-reacted. This woman, after realizing her mistake (a bit too late) tried to do the right thing. If the DA's office has its' way, she will carry the "felon" label with her for life.

So I take it you aren’t going to put your money where your mouth is?
I don’t agree with a single gun law on the books but I am also not stupid enough to hand a gun to a cop in New York.
Sometimes stupid should hurt.

I agree. Anyone enforcing the blatantly Unconstitutional laws of NYC should be fined and imprisoned.

Cornell huh?
I dare you to print those out then go to the Cornell campus and show your concealed gun to a cop along with you printouts.
You’ll only get one phone call if you live so don’t waste it ordering pizza.

Well, go make a citizens arrest of all 35,000 NYC cops.
Get a group picture after you have rounded them all up.

A number of posters have noted that they wouldn’t go to NYC, which is germane to the subject. I go a step further in that not only would I not go to New York City, I would not go to New York State, Massachusetts, New Jersey and a number of other states that either are controlled by gun-hating Democrats and/or do not recognize my permit. I’ve seen all of them that I care to see, anyhow.

There is a reason you rarely see a car with southern plates tooling around New England; even in the summer...why bother?

Why does the so-called “right to privacy” not apply to owners of firearms but it does to women in search of abortions?

I am not a lawyer but why doesn’t the NRA ILA use an argument like this in one of their cases?
IMO, gun rights groups need to be much more aggressive in regaining what was Unconstitutiuonally taken away. (as zealous as the ACLU if not moreso)
Challenges to NYC laws such as those in this story are step 1.
Challenges to the legitimacy of GCA68 and the ATF are step 2.

Thank you!
The 2A is absolute. Those law-abiding citizens who cannot make their way through the maze of 21,000 laws are not criminals.....as some here would have you believe. Why is "intent" used in the law in determining guilt.....except when it comes to gun owners?
