LOL now that there is funny! Happy Hannukah and Merry Christmas
The jews I’ve known all do christmas just like everyone else. Lets face it. Your average american family christmas has nothing to do with christ...or any other religion.
Many secular Christians have told me that Christmas is my holiday too, and some of them get very angry or even nasty when I tell them that I don’t want to celebrate it, calling me “Grinch” or “Scrooge.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m christian and I havn’t had a christmas tree in 15 years. I’ve never put up christmas lights...and I’ve never sent christmas cards.
That’s the best yet!!!!
Here in CA, you find them in Jerry’s Deli
That sounds so...homelike.
God´s Grace to You and Yours.
Why do you ask?
Christmas is an old pagan holiday that was Christianized by the Church. Easter is the real Christian holiday because at that time of year Christ asked us to remember him...
The “Not quite” posting glitch....LOL
Hildy, I love Christmas too. Love the season, the music, the lights, the mood. This funny story happened to me two years ago.
Our family was suffering from Obamanomics and my dad won a great prize: a full year of tickets to one of L.A.s biggest venues. So he was generous to give them to me and I was selling them. One guy bought two different shows from me, and it was near the holidays. We talked on the phone about holidays and somehow got onto Christmas carols and we discussed our favorites. I confessed that I was Jewish but still loved them. He confessed that he was Jewish too! We had a long laugh. He had the absolute best collection of Christmas songs ever, totally eclectic, from classics through Jimi Hendrix. Everything. He made a copy of his whole collection and put it on discs and sent it to me.
I have been hooking my phone to my car radio and listening to his collection again this year. I don’t know his name any more but I thank him mentally all the time. They are fantastic. I added a smaller collection of hannukah music to it and it just is the best collection to shuffle and enjoy.
Thank you, hon! merry, merry Christmas!
