John Casey’s book “COLD SUN” explanes it all.

We are entering a natural period of global cooling due to a “solar hibernation.

Sorry Algore, facts are really a pesky thing sometimes.

And a merry Christmas and happy safe content new year Ernest, as well as to all other Freepers.
Think I will book mark this one for future reference. Facts just don't go away. The case continues to build. Al Bore must be having a fit if he gets any of this stuff shown to him.

Wow! A .37 temp increase since 1985. I guess the next time it's 10 below zero here I can average it out to only 9.63 degrees below zero and skip the extra blanket.

Merry Christmas everybody! :-)

Not just inconvenient truths?

And a merry Christmas and healthy new year to you TE.
Perhaps more blankets will have to be pulled out in due time. Hope not.

I have not looked thru these at all.

Just waiting now for my Son to pick me up for Christmas Eve services at his Church and a Family Dinner later.

Get to see Grand Daughters again which is always fun....

Youngest one is shooting up trying to be as tall as Dad.

older one and boy friend went out with me for for last minute shopping last night....

Silly kids...I think they are getting serious.

Well, it must be really embarrassing that temperature trends are refusing to cooperate with CO_2 as a primary driver, at least as a simple driver. Just think how embarrassing it will be if a mix of phase changes in primary decade-timescale oscillations plus strongly reduced solar activity relative to the 20th century produce a serious NH cooling trend over the next twenty four months.

Then imagine how embarrassing it will be if CO_2 levels drop, not because anthropogenic CO_2 is being produced more slowly but because the average SST drops and CO_2 absorption in the thermocline picks up. One wonders if even the last 200 years are enough for the ocean to have recovered from heat lost in the LIA.

“They are ignoring several decades of relevant research and literature. They are embracing ignorance.”

"The science is settled. The deniers are ignorant."

The language used by these greedy "global warming" fraudsters cracks me up.
It smells like desperation.

Enjoy them Ernie. God is good. Over the past two days I have had some long email exchanges with my ex wife of many years ago. Seems like a healing is taking place. God is good.
I assume, hopefully correctly, all these things are getting out to larger numbers of HR and Senators. Let them see the facts play out.

First, it is not enough to find potential problems with satellites. You have to explain why the satellites have measured what they have measured and you have to prove that it is not incompatible with your hypothesis.

Second, here is the graph above detrended by 1/3 degree Celsius for 1/3 of a century:

http://www.woodfortrees.org/plot/uah/detrend:0.333/plot/uah/detrend:0.333/mean:13

So, removing a trend of 1 degree Celsius per century seems to remove all of the perceived trend. Is it possible that a trend of 1/2 a Celsius per century comes from the cool Pinatubo in the first half and the 1998 super El-Nino in the second half? If you take the sine function from 0 to 2pi radians. Since it starts with the positive phase then the negative phase, you would find a negative trend even if this function does not have a trend in the long run. It would be interesting if someone knew a way to remove the artificial trend that comes from particular events.
