LOL...when Mario Batali looks better, with his orange chef’s clogs on, you know you are at the bottom of the fashion ladder.

I have to say that I like this outfit, BUT.................it is appropriate for a young girl, teens or early twenties. It is not appropriate for a middle aged woman.
I am now middle aged and yes, sadly, there are definitely things we can no longer wear. We live in a college town & on football weekends the amount of women trying to dress like their daughters is really out of control.
And if you are the first lady you DO owe it to your country to dress in a ladylike manner. It’s part of the job. That’s part of the charm of getting older; you can be elegant. Trendiness is for the young, NOT for older women.

Your post #6 illustrates what I’ve always thought:
She’s commander in chic alright - for people of Wal-Mart.

You can just feel her growing out of that getup like a gangly, awkward teen in hand-me-downs that are two sizes too small.
Wonder if the fake flower squirts water? Looks like it would.

You know what’s funny about this picture? The hands of the two on the left are elegantly curved inward. The other one looks like she’s carrying invisible luggage.
