TSA needs to start requiring an IQ above a moron and quit with the affirmative action selectees.

"It's a purse, not a weapon," she said.Well then, we will just have to ban purses now won't we!

Sort of like having your kid expelled because he brought an aspirin to school.

I guess you’d have to read some legal definition of a replica, but this isn’t a replica by the dictionary definition. It’s merely an artistic representation, as a painting or drawing, the bas-relief notwithstanding.
Even so, I would never take something like that into an airport.

According to the TSA then a photograph of a firearm would be a replica. What’s with banning replicas anyway. What the hell can a replica do to anyone?

Sort of like having your kid expelled because he brought an aspirin to school. Actually, it would be as if he brought a picture of an aspirin to school

I would guess that would show up on the xray. They would have to pull her out of line. But to say it’s not allowed is stupid.

This is just some goofball who can’t think beyond regimentation. You’ll have this. It’s called stupidity. She was fine in the other direction. The person who held her should not be working for the TSA.

I guess youd have to read some legal definition of a replica, but this isnt a replica by the dictionary definition. Its merely an artistic representation, as a painting or drawing, the bas-relief notwithstanding.Somebody posted the legal definition on another thread, and is says it's considered a replica if it is made to look like a firearm manufactured after 1868.
If that's made to look like an early Colt revolver, then by their own defition it's not a replca.

Why would a girl want to carry a purse like that? Is it a Gangsta’ Rap sort of thing?
To: calex59
I am assuming that by replica they mean it’s a gun, but it just doesn’t work. Can’t really have TSA agents firing it to see, so ban them. NOT pictures of them. Good grief. Reading is fundamental.

or a cowboy thing.
Regardless: It’s not up to us or the TSA to approve fashion.

The person who held her should not be working for the TSA.Where else could he get a paying job? Besides, he fits right in.
