***** “What about all of the other laws that illegals break besides crossing the border; get jobs, steal, purchase and use stolen I.D.s; sign up for social programs and get benefits you pay for; and not the least of which at least 6 M of the home loans that have taken a dive, were given to illegal aliens.” *****
WHO did not ENFORCE the Law? Illegals? or the people Elected to Enforce the Laws? ...
Words are simply Words ... Laws not Enforced are simply Words .. Follow the Money and you will find Politicians and Bureaucrats and maybe the Statute of Limitations has not expired on their Crimes ... that is where I would start.
TT
PS We also have too many Laws ... most enforced Laws are now are just enforced for Revenue Enhancement ... (Think Camera Stop Lights) We are basically left to our own devices for security and safety so that is just another straw on the Camels back
Work that into the law, works for me.
So Easy
GET THE FEDERAL Government out of States Business...
Migrant workers need not be Federally Subsidized ... the Fed sticks it’s nose in and makes it that way... they want the Votes
Let Governors do their Job
Face it the Programs that everyone is bitching about are “FEDERAL” Programs ...
This is so simple that I am shocked that people on FR even find the time to ignore what is right in front of them ...

I like the idea, but remember one thing... obama failed the e-verify himself. Guess who would not be allowed to workee. Of course he doesn’t work now, just plays golf and spends our money.
"The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), Pub.L. 99-603, 100 Stat. 3359, enacted November 6, 1986, also Simpson-Mazzoli Act, is an Act of Congress which reformed United States immigration law.
In brief the act:[1]
required employers to attest to their employees' immigration status.
made it illegal to knowingly hire or recruit unauthorized immigrants.
granted amnesty to certain seasonal agricultural illegal immigrants.
granted amnesty to illegal immigrants who entered the United States before January 1, 1982 and had resided there continuously.
The first Simpson-Mazzoli Bill was reported out of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees. The bill failed to be received by the House, but civil rights advocates were concerned over the potential for abuse and discrimination against Hispanics, growers' groups rallied for additional provisions for foreign labor, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce persistently opposed sanctions against employers.
The second Simpson-Mazzoli Bill finally passed both houses in 1985, but it came apart in the conference committee over the issue of cost. The year marked an important turning point for the reform effort. Employer opposition to employer sanctions began to subside, partly because of the "affirmative defense" clause in the law that explicitly released employers from any obligation to check the authenticity of workers' documents.
Also, agricultural employers shifted their focus from opposition to employer sanctions to a concerted campaign to secure alternative sources of foreign labor. As opposition to employer sanctions waned and growers' lobbying efforts for extensive temporary worker programs intensified, agricultural worker programs began to outrank employer sanctions component as the most controversial element of reform.
"The following year, Sen. Simpson reintroduced the bill that Congressional opponents were now calling 'The Monster from the Blue Lagoon' because of its eerie ability to rise from the dead. By September, this Senate version had already passed...."[2]
The act was signed into law by President Ronald Reagan. An estimated 3 million illegal aliens received amnesty under the act. A May 26, 2006 New York Times article arrived at the figure 2.8 million: 1.7 million under a general amnesty, plus 90% of the 1.3 million that applied under a special program for agricultural workers.
That is 2.8 Million illegals NOT 12 - 25 Million that people are demanding today - and you will notice Simpson/Masoli was NOT enforced, nor will any other signed today. Also, Gingrich was in Congress at that time and you will note that he never complained that the law was being ignored then either!
So, if you were serious about discussing the issues instead of demagoguery you wouldn’t spittle the following type of slur: “can be assured their precious illegals will not be hunted down”. Starting off with dishonesty doesn’t seem too ‘discussion oriented’.
If they continue to use the illegals to help destroy the Republic, then whats the point? Advanced harvesters for the
People`s Utopia of the Socialist States of America?
We`re hemorrhaging-bleeding out as we speak. Stop the flow, then deal with the other things, ok?
Agreed, the kids an American-NOT THE ILLEGAL!
I posted the basic Simpson/Masoli law signed by R. Reagan in 1986 and you will notice who was in office then - you're right, Newt Gingrich.
I don't remember but was he screaming after that time that the law was being ignored or flaunted? I don't think so and now he thinks that leaving those who broke the laws after that, is being "humane?????"
Come on, he and anyone else still in Congress that did not blow the whistle on that law being ignored, which only an idiot would not foresee that we would be in the same place with no enforcement has no business asking me for my vote now!
....they will be paid by the people they are being paid from now. The system (government) will only change when the people have had enough. If they are not being fined now, (the government is being paid off)they will never be fined...there is no enforcement
Last week.....Congress HAS immunity from penalty for insider trading. I’d like to know when that started?
:’)

States (Not the Federal Govt) should be as originally designed in control of what happens inside of their Borders ... it is Federally Mandated... Welfare, Un-Employment Insurance, Food Stamps and now Health Care (not to mention the all of the hundreds of Federal Administrations that have the “One Size Fits All” Regulations) and then there is Ethanol and Speed limits and on and on and on.
I like Rick Perry for that reason most ... Give the States back to the Governors and cut the waste of sending money to DC so they can split it up take their cut and send it back to their favorite States like it happens now.

WE have waited 25 YEARS for the Feds to enforce their own laws.
Now 12-20 MILLION illegal aliens later the PC wimps, such as Newt, try to crawfish around the reality.
The reality is that we taxpayers are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY!
To the 53 % who pay personal Federal Income taxes, illegal aliens are all about the money: taxes to pay for free emergency room treatment to illegal aliens; free public schools, free food stamps, etc, etc.
Nomad: Your suggestions would help to make America a much needed increase in hostility towards illegal aliens. It just needs to be done in spite of the usual Federal blocking actions.
We’re so far gone, it’s probably beyond the point of no-return. For too many, if an “R” tells them that putting up their hands in a position of surrender and walking through a radiation machine will “make them safe,” they’ll happily comply. We have checkpoints within 100 miles of the border, but those are only for “catch-and-release” of illegal aliens. U.S. citizens are interrogated and detained, guilt before innocence.
