LOL.
If people don’t want to be here they can leave and no love lost. But your statement is a combination of dumb and even if it weren’t a stupid thing to say is incorrect. The “Free Ride” has only gotten easier to obtain, so if these Chinese were looking for a free ride they would stay.
I said native, not the indigenous.
They called themselves Nishnawbe....."The People"
Plus I was jacking with you....!! Ha!!
For the past decade they've been hearing stories about family and friends making a better living in China, which seems pretty much like an economic free for all compared to the tightly controlled business climate here.
IMO if you aren't with the USA for better or worse we're better off without you. So I see this as a winnowing of the citizenry.
Most of the Chinese people I know are here legally and very business-minded.
You don’t see them going to the welfare office, hanging in front of Home Depot or waving the mexican flag in their cars like they do here in L.A.
I was in Shanghai on business and I was shocked that it only ONE PAPER to fill out just to open a store in downtown Shanghai and pay the equivalent of $77 for the business annual tax AND license. Here in America, I had to talk to my lawyer, make sure my 50 pages of tax forms are in order and pay an arm and a leg just to submit a license.
The Chicoms I hate, but the Chinese I know are business-minded. I would rather have them vs the Mexican ungrateful freeloaders.
I have absolutely no issue with Chinese people coming here to work. Yes, they do work hard, their kids do well in school, etc... I guess my point is that with the economy, my focus right now is on the countless Americans that have no place to return to. The focus, IMHO, is to get our economy back period. I disagree with an article focusing on one immigrant group. That is just my take on it.
Incredible story, thanks for sharing it with us. I learn a lot here at FR.
