About a couple of decades ago I was getting on a plane and noticed him sitting in First Class. He was wearing black, of course, and had a gold chain around his neck. I smiled, raised a clenched fist and went ‘Smokin’ Joe’. He smiled back. I’ll always remember that.

Calling Joe Frazier ‘gorilla’ also from an earlier era when people weren’t so thin-skinned. It was all in playful fun and Ali was full of the vinegar. I’m glad Frazier won the first championship fight vs, Ali. Prayers for Joe—a warrior who achieved. What a left hook he had too.

I don’t think it was just a joke. Didn’t Ali also call Frazier or another of his black rivals “a Uncle Tom?” I’m disgusted by the way the MSM has made Ali some sort of cute national hero. He’s a Muslim convert. He had a huge advantage in reach over most of his opponents (esp. Frazier), which he exploited by using his “dance and jab” tactics. Once he encountered boxers who also had a long reach, like Larry Holmes, Ali didn’t look so great,
