Santorum then Newt, then Mitt, then Cain (I say that not that he did bad, just didn’t mix it up much and they didn’t give him time).

I hate Mitt so much though, I wish there was someone there who made him look much worse.

30 seconds is not much time to make a point, let alone set a verbal trap in a debate. Hence, the best times were when both candidates talked at once. At these times the true thoughts of a candidate might come out.

A negative example was when Romney said he would repeal obama”care” and then said that he knew how to lower health costs. Oops, make up your mind Mitt!

Newt was the adult in the room, but stopped short on what his ideas would be.

Perry is tiring with his “I’ll get back to you on that” promises. Romney is VERY tiring with his “I know how to do it” approach. Romney chooses not to look the camera lens “in the eye” which may be a regional habit, not sure on that.

Paul really told it straight, and seemed to get the longest and loudest reception.

Santorium dug deep, but rather thin on his idea file.

Bachmann is a fighter, and would therefore make a great Veep.

The best ideas are still those of Herman Cain. He needs to ease up a bit, and be more of a good ol’ boy when he answers: talk slow, think fast.

I liked the various ideas, and the discussions. Best part was when Perry said “ Anderson, you get to ask the questions, and I get to answer them.”

Winner: The Republican Party for such a stellar group of Candidates with ideas.

First of all, I’m a Conservative in Texas and I’m not a fan of Perry.
Now, tonight I thought Newt won, with Cain coming in second. I’m a huge Ron Paul fan, and he did well, but of course he got no facetime.
Bachmann needs to drop out. She is trying way too hard, and I got sick of hearing her laugh at everything any other candidate joked about. Santorum needs to go too, he is polling at about 1%.
The debate itself was a joke. I learned NOTHING I didn’t already know.
My ticket would be Keyes/Watts, or Watts/Keyes. :)

The petty fight between Perry and Romney is getting annoying, and tonight Santorum joined the fray. None of the three sounded presidential. Cain could have answered some questions better. By now he should be well rehearsed defending 9-9-9 and have an answer for all the critical comments. He can't just keep saying go to my web site and see the plan for yourself and leave it at that. He didn't lose any ground though, but he needs to work with debate coaches and show improvement. Newt did well again. Loved the way he gave credit to Cain for at least having a plan. That was class.

Obama.

The fighting just generates a multitude of cips against whoever wins.

Newt won the debate. How can we ever get past his baggage? Newt has won every debate.

I though Romney lost. He seemed red-faced and irritated.

My son came in and asked who he was. He said he was snarling at the other candidates.

Agreed with Mr Larsen: I am on the Cain train, but Newt kicked serious butt

Newt was forced by Romney to fess up to an unconstitutional position —

supporting the individual mandate for health insurance

Big score for Romney.

Romney and Cain won
