Whatever happened to confirming the suspect is actually at the address before entry? That segment was cut from training to make room for "Cool looks with your balaclava!"

If you havent done anything wrong, and you dont know anyone who has done anything wrong, and you dont live anywhere near anyone who had ever done anything wrong, and you dont have a dog or a senile parent or firearms in the house, and you dont panic and you keep your hands where the police can see them at ALL times, then you dont have anything to be afraid of in a police house call. You forgot to include "and you live in a state that has no [unsanctioned] home-invaders astute enough to dress up like cops and yell 'Police, drop your weapons and get down' "

"This is a very rare circumstance," the acting chief said of the mistake. "Usually we would have, at the very least, shot their dog."

Hamilton, a captain filling in for the chief, who is on medical leave, also outlined during the City Council meeting several policy changes resulting from the incident.Does that include felony charges against any officer unlawfully entering a house? If not, shut your jackbooted trap!
