I can’t quite figure out why folks that are miserable up North can come to a quiet spot and make it into the image of the place they were miserable in. They make the rest of us miserable too!
So why is it so bloody hot and dry in Texas?
Weather and climate are two different things, first off. A hot spell in Texas this summer is no more meaningful than frozen rivers and mass wildlife die-offs were in South America last winter.
Heck, just last Wednesday Iowa saw some record low temperatures.
Second, we are an increasing phase of Solar Cycle 24. The tail end towards the end of this decade and on into the early 2020's should see a perceptible drop in global temperature. However, it's the following cycle (25) where things will likely get very interesting. That's the one that some folks feel will feature no sunspot activity (and low solar wind, which relates to the recent CERN cloud experiments).
Time will tell, but the timing versus the global warming alarmism is pretty amusing. ;-)
