To: oldteen; everyone

Hi teenie, Thank you for your sweet remarks. I’m still fighting this horrible “thing” I have. I am on a powerful antibiotic. I went to Urgent Care Saturday because I had tried my doctor on Friday and he was out of the office.

We’ve had some cold snaps here in Tennessee and my son and his wife helped me with a yard sale week before last. My son took this bug first and 24 hours later, I had it. We both were feeling so bad when the sale started, I doubted we’d make it BUT HAD TO GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS. It was very successful. I donated all the leftover stuff to my son’s church for their yearly “Lord’s Acre Sale.” They picked it up in a pickup truck and it was gone. I sure didn’t want it back in my house....LOL! (I hate yard sales.)
It was their idea and truly needed to be done.

Thank you so much, Mary Lou. And let me say how sorry I was to hear about your father. I am praying for your precious Mom, Ginny, and hope she is making good progress. And prayers for you and the stress you must be under, Mary Lou. May the Lord be with you, friend!

Yes, I knew Free Republic and the Robinson’s were on Facebook but I didn’t think to contact him there. I filled out the form on FR. and didn’t get my password until I wrote the second time. Jim said my new email address (6 years old...LOL) had gotten mixed up with an old addy!

Thanks SCB! Good to hear from ya!

Are You Ready?
September 20, 2011

Many will remember the fall season of 2008 as the beginning of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression of 1929. In the months to follow, many lost their jobs, homes, and investments. In a BBC interview a year later, Alan Greenspan, former head of the US Federal Reserve, indicated that the average person doesn’t believe it will happen again. He said, “That is the unquenchable capability of human beings when confronted with long periods of prosperity to presume that it will continue.”

Assuming that things will continue as they always have is not just 21st-century-type thinking. In the first century, Peter wrote of people who thought that life would continue as it was and that Jesus would not return. He said, “Since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation” (2 Peter 3:4). Jesus said He would come back, but the people continued to live in disobedience as though He would never return. But His delay is only because of God’s patience with us, for He is “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (v.9).

Paul tells us that Christians ought to live “soberly, righteously, and godly” in the light of Christ’s certain return. (Titus 2:12). Are you ready to meet Him?

Faithful and true would He find us here
If He should come today?
Watching in gladness and not in fear,
If He should come today? —Morris

Jesus may come any time, so we should be ready all the time.

It was good to hear from you; I sent Jim your email addy so he could get your password to you.

BTW: I keep passwords on Keypass. If I ever lose Keypass, I’m in big trouble. :)

Have a lovely day and enjoy your time with your family.

Good morning, Amy! Great to see you this morning. They’ve changed our computers at work and I don’t have access to any of my graphics. :(

Good morning, Conor.

Great to see you ... with or without graphics. :)

Did you get your test results?

I have my ping list and graphics saved on a Thumb Drive with a couple of offline graphic site passwords. It goes with me when I go on vacation.

Hope you are having a super Tuesday. (I do miss your Tuesday children)

Got the cardiac stress test results - normal. Have a bone scan coming up next week. The MRI showed a torn tendon in my left knee - will probably have to have another surgery. The chief complaint right now is profound weakness in both legs - I’m reduced to using a walker - not sure what the cause is.

“May you live in interesting times” ... is a Chinese proverb

We do. Everyday is interesting. Our situation in the world today is especially scary as is the economy and our state of affairs in America. It is more than the Jimmy Carter type of mismanagement ... it is intentional bringing down of our way of life via the government and our astronomical debt America has acquired with nothing to show for it. This is not a so, so happening. MO It is an intentional making of a third world nation out of America and we sit around complacently as it it will pass.

Do not bet on it. You'll lose. We ought to be praying night and day for our nation, Israel, Jerusalem, binding the evil intended against us and calling on God for his help before we lose our form of government and our way of life and our freedoms. In Jesus name I pray. amen.

I’m praying they find the reason for the leg weakness soon.

Even tho another surgery is in your future, it will be good to get the torn tendon repaired.
