“Earache, My Eye” featuring Alice Bowie.
I have a soft spot for 80’s pop music, especially Duran Duran. I had a huge crush on them when I was a sophomore in high school! The crush is long gone, but I still like their early music. Their CDs do look a bit out of place alongside the Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Overkill stuff.
Ah yes, the electric boom boom song!
Who is Justice Beaver?
lol...
Journey - Lights.
S and G I’m willing to let people know about.
The Bangles, not so much.
Lots of folks were in “Nam”, including John Kerry. I never ran into him while I was there.
Did you?
BTW, I am not running for President, I can tolerate ketchup, but not Theresa.
:-)
I did visit Martha’s Vineyard once, but only to buy a used school bus.
Sadly, there are many...but I’ll throw out just one.
I really have no use for Barry Manilow but I love the song “Weekend in New England” for some inexplicable reason.
Midnight Oil’s followup single, “The Dead Heart” is even better, but didn’t sell nnearly as well in the States.
No need to be ashamed of Love Shack. Awesome tune.
Air Supply: Because two guys singing romantic duets isn’t the slightest bit queer. :)
“The Muffin Man - Frank Zappa”
Care to elaborate on why you feel guilty about listening to FZ?
Will be praying for Loretta’s surgery.
Glad to hear that Crystal is still married to HS sweetie. Mrs BN & I are working on 41 years.
It looks like Richmond is is Southern RI. Do you say “Y’all” down there? :-)
We lived in Burrillville for a year back in 1987-88. Nice folks, for a bunch of Yankees! Just kidding; Mrs BN was a Yankee when I rescued her.
As a metalhead, I’m a bit ashamed to admit this.... but I like Duran Duran. And I felt no shame about it until I noticed a lot of girls at my HS had the same haircuts as the guys in the band.
In spite (or maybe because) of its utter cheesiness, I also like Warrant’s “Cherry Pie”.
“Glam Rock/Metal performers...well...lets not go there!”
It’s amusing to me to see how many guys from hair metal bands are losing their hair. :)
Must've been all that hairspray.
Imaginary Lover - Atlanta Rhythm Section.
I mostly listened to hard rock in High School, but I loved the Little River Band. I even liked Reminiscing....but they could rock out too, the live version of “It’s a Long Way There” had a blazing guitar solo.

Muffins make me fat. Then I feel guilty for eating them.
Some people prefer cupcakes exclusively, but I for one care less for them!
