God, I read Dune, and loved it, ages ago but have absolutely no recollection of Giedi Prime.

Exactly my thought about it. Very strange and weird.

Giedi Prime is the home planet of the Harkkonens. In the movie it was shown to be a coal black planet with just a little light reflecting off. That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw the headline.
