Yikes!
Remember, kiddies, an injured wild animal is an injured WILD animal. They are fearful and in pain. If you approach them, they are only expecting more pain and will use any defense mechanism left to them.
Some years ago in Montgomery County, Maryland (Land o’ Libs), a deer was hit by a car. A well-meaning woman went over to the injured deer to comfort it by cradling its head in her lap. It was a buck with antlers. You can guess the rest.
Call Animal Control and leave it to the experts. The leader of your Womyn’s Empowerment workshop who told you that your “animal spirit” was a deer did not confer expert status upon you at that time - and the deer don’t give a flying flip about your warm intentions. I raise livestock and I would think twice about how I approached an injured domestic animal, let alone a wild one.
So that’s how Rev. Martin lost ‘is peeper!
