That list is so outdated that its value is minimal.
A lot of the vehicles listed are defunct, and others have been re-sourced to different locations.
Dodge Ram pickups are built in Warren, Mi and Ford pickups are built in Kansas City and Dearborn, Mi.
The list in post 15 is not only outdated, but was meant to show what vehicles are assembled by American unions, which is, of course, only part of the American-made story. The list posted at the top of the thread is meant to show what vehicles are the most American-made, factoring in both where they’re assembled and where the parts are made, without regard to union involvement.
I haven’t found one that addresses all these issues in one list, nor a recent one that addresses the union-made issue. Please feel free to search for one yourself.
I put this in the same category as which retail stores to avoid.
Years ago I started keeping a list of all the stores that were deemed “bad guys” for various reasons on FR.
Eventually the allowable list was down to the St Vincent de Paul thrift stores. Then someone posted an anti-Catholic screed and we were out of names.

Yer right! I have my own list though, it was not garnered from F.R. or any other web source. I got it from experience and it isn't written down nor do I advocate others boycotting my list.
Burn me once, shame on you, burn me twice, shame on me.
That's why I've been looking at them for a car -- either the Focus or the Fusion.
I don't want to deal with any Honda salespeople or representatives or repairmen in Brooklyn anymore, so they're out.
Har! I lose track of what I’m boycotting and supporting sometimes. There are companies on both lists. For me, it’s a make-weight, not an absolute.
(I buy at Menard’s when I’m making the 30-mile trip for something else, but I don’t really care if Paul Menard wins or not. At least, I’m not going to hold my breath. I enjoy breathing too much.)
I like Menard’s too.
I’m not sure if they ever got on the FR bad guy list.
Lowes and Home Despot certainly were.
Home da’ Pot is a good illustration of what I mean. I have a vague memory that I don’t want to shop there, but I don’t remember why. I don’t even know where the nearest Lowe’s is. Menard’s is good folks, though.
I think the Home Despot problem had something to do with gay rights.
Lowes is problematic because they sponsor Jimmy Johnson in Nascar whose car owner is a convicted white collar felon who contributed to BJ Clinton and got a POTUS pardon.
Nope - those boys have long memories and they will turn on a dime as we have seen before. The Pacific Rim countries China, Japan, and Korea, stay away from that! These guys will stab you in the back in a heartbeat. In fact, we’re hearing some of the same crap from China that we were hearing from Japan 20 years ago.
Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Saturn and Plymouth? List appears to be somewhat out of date.
That one — the union one — is way out of date, but it’s the most recent I could find. The “American-made” one at the top of the thread is new.
