To me it just looks like a kid that doesn’t want to be there, she doesn’t really smile at all. I have never been around sociopathic children before but I did used to babysit a child who was a diagnosed schizophrenic so I just know how it was being around him, he would have blank stares too but he would act out violently. Since some of the jurors have children maybe they will be able to see that something wasn’t right with the her even at the age of 10..if only she had been helped maybe she might have had a chance
I’ve read on some other forums that the term “Zanny the Nanny” was often used in reference to Xanex (sp?) by parents who wanted to party........without the hindrance of children.
I would agree. The state proved their case today. It is over. I do not think Casey will get the death penalty as she has no real criminal history. I do think se is going to serve a lot of time. As well she should.
That precious little girl was abused and treated like crap.
I do not buy the Murder to go party motive given by the state. M62 had the best idea for a motive but I did not hear it from the State. It was that Caylee was getting old enough to communicate and would expose her lies. Now that is a good old motive that is believable. Shutting someone up. Did the State present it?
Just checked.....it’s Zanax.
God help us! You’re absolutely right!!
Oops....Xanax
Thanks, Truthkeeper! I truly appreciate your work on these threads.
“”They didnt read her Miranda at Universal IIRC. But did they arrest her then or just question her further?””
This is what Geraldo has been hanging his hat from the very beginning - like a bulldog over that point. She was NOT under arrest and was free to go at any time. Of course, she would have to have hitched a ride home as the detectives took her there in the first place - HA! She was first arrested that same evening at home and Geraldo has had nothing to say about Miranda rights in that episode.
The charges they arrested her on then were some of the 7 charges against her in the trial now - lying to law enforcement, child neglect....That’s when Padilla got her out on bond.
I can’t remember who right now (and won’t remember later either) but a couple of people have jumped all over Geraldo for his position on that issue...I do believe one of them was Stacy (prosecutor in FL) - don’t remember her last night. A real tiger but I haven’t seen her commenting in the past week or so.
Sociopathy runs in families. Cindy seems to have many of the same characteristics. I’m just sayin’!
“”dont remember her last night””
last night = last name.
No matter how many times you proof read -—————
You and me both. I have been snowjobbin’ the hubby. Finally tonight after ordering a sandwich at Jimmy Johns, I told him I was addicted to finishing this trial. LOL
Cindy is a pathological liar so I guess it rubbed off A LOT on Caey
I saw a video just once on WFTV earlier today and Bill Schaeffer said she was 5 years old in the video. IMO Casey didn’t look big enough to be 10. Also she didn’t say anything in the clip I saw so I’m thinking maybe I saw a different video from the one you described.
The correct spelling is Xanax.
It is spelled the same forwards and backwards.
Thank you for the explanation WRT Casey’s arrest and the Miranda issue. I didn’t think she was arrested at Universal. I think the FL attorney you are thinking of is Stacy Honowitz (I probably spelled her name all wrong).
Can you freepmail me a brief rundown of the testimony after about 2:00 today? I left the house and haven’t had a chance to view the recording! Thanks
“”They cuffed her when the Cops first came. That is considered detention. Once detained you are under arrest and must be told about Miranda in order to use what you say against you.””
Are you sure about her being cuffed when the detectives took her to Universal Studios? They had questioned everyone in the family all evening and she offered to take them to Universal early the next morning so they could check a loss report she had turned in about her cell phone she had left on her desk and it had disappeared!! I think her desk disappeared too - LOL
They may have had SUSPICIONS at that point but nothing overtly. I don’t believe they really questioned what they were dealing with until she stopped them in the hall of the building she took them to and told them she really didn’t work there.
Geraldo’s point was any time a person is put in a police vehicle, they have to have their Miranda rights read to them and he had others contradicting him vehemently.
That’s Geraldo’s long career in criminal defense work that makes him the expert. Has he ever seen a court room?
I saw that too. Her eyes looked almost too cold and calculating for such a young child. My guess? The Anthonys had clues long before she killed Caylee.
Also: Did anyone else notice how many pets the family buried, according to the testimony? We touched on this yesterday, but the more I thought about it, the more I wondered if Casey had been dispatching pets long before she murdered her child.
Casey did everything in that video just perfect. And that is what we are talking about.
What is missing? I watch people and something was missing.
