Good show.

Would opt out of taking the survival class from the Arizona guy though. Ever since he mentioned the way he tests his students survival shelters is to ... well ...

Test whether they’re waterproof.

He didn’t seem to be joking.

Sure do like the show though. Any of those shows Survivorman, Man vs Wild, Dual Survival are light years ahead of anything scripted by the Hollywood gay brigades.

Can’t even stand to watch the networks anymore.

‘...that doesn’t wear shoes will eventually pay for it...”

Perhaps. But he lives in the desert and has been barefoot all the time now for many, many years. I thought it was nuts too, until he mentioned how many tribes are still barefoot. Of course a life span of 72 years vs. 43 may be in part to waring shoes!

One show they were walking through Africa with these 3-inch thorns on the ground and the army guy said to Cody something about the thorns. Cody replied “You really think your leather soles are going to stop those suckers?” Of course, I can’t even walk across the asphalt to the mailbox in my barefeet anymore!

Yeah I thought going after the honey was kinda stupid too. Unfortunately Cody’s avoidance of shoes appears to be a pride thing.

Outstanding.

But I think I’d cook it first.

Great show.

He reminds me of the two guys who saw the bear running toward them. As the one guy was lacing up his sneakers, the other said “you can’t out run a bear”. The guy with the sneakers says “I don’t have to run faster than the bear, just faster than you.”

Interestingly enough, Cody said that exact same thing to Dave a couple of shows ago.

At least here on the left coast:

Back to back, to back, to back, to back to back all evening episodes of Dual Survival just started now. One minute ago. All day until early tomorrow morning!

First episode is Wyoming.

:)

Discovery channel rocks.

This currently-running episode isn’t doing much for me.

Next up: Panama’s cloud forest.

Sounds much more interesting.

Watching right now....They are stuck in Africa. I believe this is the episode where they encounter hippos which can be nasty critters

OTHER TV SHOW—
Ever see that pig show where guys they try to trap the wild hogs that are ruining some rural areas? That show is far too PC. They never kill the pigs.
