and, 12 years ago, i was being a responsible parent, and looking at the best research i could find, with a more limited internet.

Russell Crowe shouldn't express his opinin about circumcision? Don't get me wrong, I'm circumcised, as are my two sons, so I don't have a dog in this fight. But I was stunned by all the rabid responses to his comments.
Is no one allowed to express an opinion on this subject unless it agrees with you twits? He says he thinks this the practice is barbaric, that God creates babies perfect and man trying to improve on God's work is, at best, stupid. What's not to like about such a statement.
Oh, it's steeped in tradition. And agreed upon by wise holy men. And anyone who disagrees must hate Jews. I get it. He's challenged the idea that your faith is perfect. Aren't you the guys who thought it was a good idea to crucify Christ? Do you all still hold to that decision? I personally think that was a little barbaric.
Is it not ironic that most Jews will vote for Obama but thought Christ should be tortured?
You're not going to go to any more of his movies. Wow. I bet if he knew that he would change what he believes. He is a very good actor and has starred in some good movies. Am I allowed to have this opinion? Or am I to be as equally disliked as Russell? Tell you what, to be fair, why don't all you upright folks punish me by never again reading any of my posts. Actually, I think I will watch a Russell Crowe movie tonight. I have many of his movies. He remains one of my favorites. Even if 'you people' no longer like him.

I laugh at Crowe because while he cries over a bit of foreskin, he thinks it’s perfectly alright to abort “perfect babies”. I don’t think it makes him anti-semitic, just stupid and barbaric.

It is a good card, and played at the right time, devastating to the simple minded, which is who I was addressing. If Jesus is the son of God and the Jews assisted in his persecution then it answers a lot of questions about why the Jews have been so persecuted since. The sins of the father are visited upon their sons. Do you remember his crime?

I was simply giving an off the cuff answer to an entire thread of vitriolic posters and painting with such a large brush, it is inevitable that a few got splashed with the wrong color. Perhaps they might be more careful of the company they keep.

I could not agree with you more. I will never understand why otherwise rational people believe it to be okay to murder people while they are in the womb. Babies are miracles, whether born yet or not. To wantonly destroy so many miracles is a crime against life. Death is out there somewhere smiling at the punishment to come.
