Thanks for the welcome!

If you decide to check out the Lower Levels, please take a guide with you. Maps are useless as the walls have a tendency to um...shift. Kinda.

LOL! Which way? And should I bring a bag of bread crumbs?

Bread crumbs are worse than useless ... they cause the dust bunnies to breed.

And good morning, and happy 4th! It was loud in my neighborhood last night. The less intelligent cat stayed out anyway, although I warned him there would be explosions.

I expect my kids were hanging out the windows until midnight, because nobody’s up except Francisco and me ... not even James, who is always starving.

LOL! As if dust bunnies needed any encouragement.

Happy 4th of July to you and yours, too!

No cats here, just a dog from a nearby farm looking for handouts from the rig crews and hunting mice (It is a pretty good mouser, too!)

No fireworks, here, either (which is a good thing, considering), just flaring a little gas from the wellbore. I guess that'll have to do.

I got an e-mail from my granddaughter we're raising, so I know she was up late.

Out here the usual compliment of folks are up and at 'em--and have been, for the most part...we're going 24 hours a day (12 hour shifts), so there are always eight to ten people up, although I normally see only a few of them.

Der Prinz and Anoreth went to a Zac Brown Band concert last night and got home really late. He says it was a great show, better than Jimmy Buffett. She isn’t up yet. The dog finally got up, and I shoved her out the door.

The Cub Scouts will be in a parade today, so I’ll have to get them into their uniforms in a while. And we’ll all watch “1776!”

The usual holiday insanity at the warehouse.
Some moron called up the delivery service and left them a message to call me.
Poblem was, I had no idea why.
And they left the service that message twice.
So the service asked me to page the guy.
Problem with that was, he wasn’t onsite.

I’ll be at home, pretty much, but the rest of the family will be out and about. I’ll have to tell the kids they can’t go to the pool in the middle of the day: several already have drastic sunburns.

One of ours got a bad one earlier this year. He didn’t like peeling much, so he’s more careful now.

Mine seem to think they can do the same thing again with a different result.

The walls have minds of their own. Something to do with Stag and his T-Rex, I think. But that was years ago. Perhaps the walls are seeking revenge.

Bread crumbs are useless. If the Dwarfs don’t get them, the basilisk might.

The Zombies, of course, are ever watchful for new er.... experiences.

I’ll give him credit, he does learn fast. Even if he insists on learning the hard way...(8^D)

I'm not so sure. I have it on good authority thet the bread crumbs will enhance dust bunny productivity. If we feed the dust bunnies to the zombies, the resultant hairballs would mire the dwarves, that is, if the walls will hold still long enough to get them coated. Worth a try, anyway. Then, too, there just might be a free-for-all over a well tossed sack with the dust bunnies, dwarves, and basilisk after the crumbs (does that make them crumb-snatchers?), but then, the zombies would still be roaming the halls...

I'm beginning to see why Congress' pork barrel is so deep...

Our dwarven wanderers tend to have the ritual earwax cleaning every couple years/months.
The hammer noise is ferocious, and the resulting stonelike bowling equipment is almost unbreakable.

Didn’t we have an unfortunate event with the zombies and the dust bunnies a few years ago? That was when we lost all the spare shower curtains.

Anoreth and Bill are giving the dragons a bath. They’re getting water all over the counter.

Yes, the carnage was terrible.
Dunno why the zombies dressed in the shower curtains.
It didn’t look good nor did it offer any kind of protection.

There was slime.

DP and Tom just turned up, *surprised* that they were supposed to have their Scout uniforms on if they wanted to be in the parade. Like, duh.

Shower curtains, wine vats, the library...nothing was safe or sacred.

Even the chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate were in danger of being contaminated, and they are vastly important on moving day!

However, the spider bots seemed to have some control of the mayhem, so that after the slime was cleared away, and body parts were ah...disposed of, the Lower Levels became rather mediocre. At least to Darks and DC. Nothing fazes them. Some built-in body armor, or DNA protection of some sort.

Perhaps it’s just plain ol’ garden variety Bravery.

Hey! Anybody wearing red, white and blue today? Besides me, I mean?
