Boy infects girl with rampaging nanites, girl in crazed rampage uses boy for raw materials for cloning an evil army, boy accidentally destroys the world via his prank on the girl... The girl dies of loneliness.

Oh, sorry. I already replied to that post. I thought it was something that happened after that.

Looking back, I wasn’t being very clear.
Of course, I’m still miffed at seeing a dog in the middle of a 55 zone.

I’m always miffed when I see any domestic animal loose. I’ve seen so many cats and dogs “flat out on the freeway and dryin’ in the sun.” (Quote courtesy of Ray Stevens...”Fred, You were a good dog...”)

Maybe the dog was on a lead and broke loose?
What ticks me off is the bicyclists in the 55mph zones.

If the dogs and cats had collars and/or harnesses, they were not visible. And the critters don’t understand that the noise they hear can kill them.
My cats were always kept indoors and my dogs were either fenced in and watched while they did their business, on a stake with the same criteria, or on a leash with a responsible person at the other end of it.
Bicyclists and runners, especially when there are roads and parks that are marked for both, should know better than to argue with a moving vehicle.

It was right by the TA truck stop.
So... one of the great traveling genius truck drivers let their dog out of the rig and obviously thought it wasn’t going to bolt.
I had to do the brake dive and “oh crap” maneuver around the dog to avoid it.
I had a semi behind me.
I did NOT look in the rear view.

Afternoon. We ordered Tom’s new glasses and got him new t-shirts to replace the ones that didn’t survive camp.
*yawn*
I suppose I should make some salad before we go to the library. It’s so hot that nobody really cares what we eat.

I’m going to see if I can afford new glasses. We have a health plan, but it’s been so long since I used it, I don’t know what it consists of. I’m WAY overdue. And this time, I’m going to get prescription sunglasses.
I have to do this soon. My lenses are scratched. Can’t figure out why...it’s only been 12 years... :o|

It was enough for me to do the third “Oh crap” maneuver of the morning to avoid a buck that was stupidly snifing the pavement on the highway [65 zone!] and look behind me in time to see the semi lights occlude and then reappear.
