Thanks for the tip. I got an email from Keltec last week saying they were shipping 500 per week. That must have been before Update IV. The last update I read was III.

They make 25 round drums? Both of mine are 20.

Pro-Mag and MD Arms drums are 20s; Pro-Mag also makes a 12-round drum that's said to be both handier and more reliable than their 20. The MD Arms drums work so well they're alomst boring. I a run of about 600 rounds with three guns, we had not a single jam or feeding problem, though when the barrels got warm, plastic shells would begin to melt upon being chambered. But that was not the fault of the magazines.

Aliance Armament does make a 30-rounder. It goes for $400+, is HUGE, and is constructed of aluminum; their reputation for quality and dependability is not good, but they exist if you really want one. Alliance does guarantee their drums to function correctly, but only if the gun has been given a *reliability enhancement package* in Alliance's shop. A 20-round drum called the *Wraithmaker* was briefly on the market, had reliability problems the manufacturer didn't address, and has since gone off the market and pretty much disappeared. Avoid.

But stand by. Mike at MD Arms is coming out with something new you may find to be of interest. And their interest in continuing to supply the growing SAIGA market base appears to remain high.

Better get your order in fast. I am still waiting for the PMR 30 which I ordered in Oct and was recently told it will be about 3 more mos.

I've been holding out for a version in .22 Long Rifle, which may not be technically feasable, but I'd bet that George Kelgren is sharp enough to make it work. The idea of a 30-round .22 handgun is one that really works for me, and I reckon they'd sell 5 for every one of the .22 magnum versions if both were available.

Maybe the shotgun orders will fill more quickly.

Maybe; there'll certainly be a demand, particularly if the supply of imported Saiga semiauto shotguns is shut off. But I suspect that the time spent on production of the bullpup shotgun and .208 rifle and the .32 and .380 pocket pistols may be cutting into that of the PMR-30 .22 mag pistol.

“I’ve been holding out for a version in .22 Long Rifle”

The Israelis have a 10-22 in .22 mag that holds a 10 round or 25 round clip. Its kind of pricey around $600.00. We are thinking of getting one. You can get one through any high end gun shop. You will probably have to ask them about it and then have them order it.

Indeed they do; I saw one on my last trip there. Among other things, the one I saw had about a 14-inch barrel, all that the .22 mag cartridge needs, and allowing the use of a suppressor about 8 inches long.

They also had some nice suppressed standard .22 Long rifle 10-22s, which interestingly took a different suppressor than the .22 mag rifles, meaning the .22 mag version was tuned fot that particular caliber and probably the specific barrel length.

It seems the Israelis have far fewer problems with demonstrations in whicj the *peaceful demonstrators* hurl rocks or Molotov cocktails at the Israeli troops. And for good reason.

I like that jacked back mount for the scope that one Israeli soldier has. You can crowd up pretty close on the scope with those 10-22’s without getting a nasty eyering. I wouldn’t try it on a 30-30.

Note the cheekpiece on the 10-22 in the second pic. That undoubtedly helps both maintain a consistant eye relief with the scoope, as well as a solid cheek weld against the stock.

The scopes are mounted a little higher than I prefer. But it's likely that the Israelis have their reasons for the high-mount rigs.

BTW: the Israelis also developed a .22 magnum conversion kit for the M16A1. I've seen and handled one but not shot it. They were also fond of the little Armalite/Charter Arms/Henry AR-7 survival rifle, and issued a modified version with a push-pull wire stock and FAL pistol grip as an air force survival rifle.
