It’s an exercise program that comes on 12 DVDs. You play 1-2 Dvds a day (depending on what is scheduled for that day) and work out with the video.
If needed, you can pause the video to take a short break, but it is recommended that you finish the video, if possible.
It is famous for being a challenging workout and is typically not recommended for those who are at a beginner’s level in terms of fitness.
This is Beachbody’s fit test, which you (or others) can use to determine if you meet their minimum recommendations.
I wouldn't mind at all. The first time through .... which I must admit wasn't daily ... I did get some decent results. My energy level skyrocketed, shoulder size increased, belly size decreased, I doubled the amount of push ups I was able to do, quickly outgrew the dumbells I was using and had to buy more. But as I said, I wasn't doing it daily due to my schedule so I did not get the results I was hoping for even though everything listed above sounds great.
It would be interesting to see whether you will see the same results you did the first time, or exceed them.
I do intend to better the results this time around. Unfortunately, due to an even busier schedule nowdays, I'm going to have to switch to mornings. I tried a morning routine years ago and I just was not cut out for that. Perhaps this time .....
that is good to know... i'm not in horrible shape... i want to lose 3 lbs... haha! i see commercials where people say they've lost 50, 100, 120 pounds, and i can't lose 3! last summer i went on vacation, and came back 3 pounds heavier... i lose a pound or two, and then i gain it back... i do hit the treadmill 3-4 times a week... last summer i was working out at our local In-Shape... i was gaining weight... i know--everyone told me, "you're building muscle." but my clothes were not fitting better... they were fitting tighter... so i stopped doing that and am now just doing the treadmill... we will have to start P90X soon...
There is only one method for weight loss:
calories-in vs calories-out.
P90X does raise the calories-out but if you can’t adjust your eating habits then its a long and lonely road. At 285+ I tried X for about a month, lost only 6lbs or so. My problem was I refused to change my diet and I was so out of shape I wasn’t getting much of a burn from the program.
Couple of months after giving it up (P90X) I finally got smart and counted up my calories for a day and was stunned. Since then I’ve changed my diet and without any exercising (yet) I’ve dropped 40lbs averaging about 2lbs a week. My initial loss was 6 or so pounds the first week so the weight loss was noticeable instantly, within just a day or so I had noticed a difference.
