Will you be following Piper into the restroom at her school to make sure she washes her hands? Are you in agreement with Andrew Sullivan on his "Trig" theory? Misogyny (pronounced /mɪˈsɒdʒɪni/) is the hatred of women. Misogyny comes from Greek misogunia (μισογυνία) from misos (μῖσος, hatred) and gynē (γυνή, woman). According to sociologist Allan G. Johnson, "misogyny is a cultural attitude of hatred for females because they are female." Johnson argues that: "[Misogyny] is a central part of sexist prejudice and ideology and, as such, is an important basis for the oppression of females in male-dominated societies. Misogyny is manifested in many different ways, from jokes to pornography to violence to the self-contempt women may be taught to feel for their own bodies." Michael Flood defines misogyny as the hatred of women and notes: "Though most common in men, misogyny also exists in and is practiced by women against other women or even themselves. Misogyny functions as an ideology or belief system that has accompanied patriarchal, or male-dominated societies for thousands of years and continues to place women in subordinate positions with limited access to power and decision making. [...] Aristotle contended that women exist as natural deformities or imperfect males [...] Ever since, women in Western cultures have internalised their role as societal scapegoats, influenced in the twenty-first century by multimedia objectification of women with its culturally sanctioned self-loathing and fixations on plastic surgery, anorexia and bulimia." Misogyny is not to be confused with the term misandry, the hatred of men or boys.

Oh heck, I can't remember how to spell it at age 60. How the hell can she have memories worthy of writing at her tender age?

Damn, let's all repeat the Big Media meme, that "the book is a memoir".

Over and over again.

Can’t really blame her. Now’s the time it will sell. I bought Sarah Palin’s two books as they came out, and found them very much worth reading, but I’ll pass on this one. Still, if she can make a bit of money off it by celebrity lovers, why not?

Better than Billy Beer.

Do you fault Ronald Reagan for having a left wing ballet dancer for a son?

I remember years ago when Nancy Reagan wrote her missive and finally had her say in "My Turn". Published in 1989, it was her opportunity to set the record straight on so many issues where she was dinged in MSM. That was in 1989... before MSM morphed into tabloid journalism in order to compete with the minute to minute reporting in social media.

Bristol Palin has chosen to tell her own story from "HER" perspective. Those who despise her will continue to do so... those who are in the middle may find it illuminating and those who have sought to protect her will continue to do likewise. Amy, Karena and Kara NEVER took on the heat from MSM that this young woman has had to deal with.

I strongly doubt your conservative cred Pissant, when you feel a need to attack this young woman and bring up Democrat daughters as your example. Who the heck's side are you on anyway?

the memoir would provide "an inside look at her life." I don't want even an outside look. Thinking about the inside look at that life makes me shiver.

How can a 20 year old have a memoir?

I have tremendous respect for Sarah and Todd, but I'm becoming weary of the constant "Palin Bombardment."

Good for her. Probably a very nice payday. How much did they offer you for your book when you were 20?...looking forward to your juvenile response. Don’t let me down!

After “Doughy Sugary Pastries”, I mean “Dirty Sexy Politics”, I’m having trouble mustering up much indignation about Bristol Palin getting a book deal.

I care about this about as much as I cared about Megan McCain. If Sarah Palin wants to be President, KEEP THE FAMILY OUT OF IT. I have had enough of this family.

She’ll make a little money, and that’s fine. Maybe a first hand account of being in the crosshairs of the media would have some interest. Howver, I am going to make a blanket statement - I don’t like books from politicians or their families...or more specifically, I don’t like it when people cash in on fame which is the result of seeking public office. Its a free country; but, if the proceeds aren’t going to charity, I’m not buying a politicians book...or a relative’s.

Dude, you are beyond predictable anymore.

YAWN...

It is so sophomoric watching you find anything even remotely negative about Palin...usually from the Left, and breathlessly post it in here.

I guess nothing exciting is happening with your boy Duncan...aye?

Ah come on now, a BOOK? NOTHING a “twenty something” has to say would be the least bit interesting to me. So ridiculous.

This is one of the reasons Palin is going to have a tough time, too much “baggage”, namely her kids.

I’m not a far of Bristol’s, but I suspect that many families have at least one black or gray sheep. I know you don’t like Sarah, and I understand, but please leave the kids out of it. IMO, they’re not all that relevant. If you want to criticize Sarah’s policies, then please do so in a civil way. On second thought, you already have. Then just leave the family out of it, please. By posting articles about Bristol to slam Sarah, you’re starting to look like a petty and desperate troll.

As in, FWIW, JimRob should've banned your RINO-shilling, moonbat troll ass years ago.
