Better is a matter of perspective and opinion. There is certainly talent in many areas.
With respect to music choice, some days I want to be told a story while floating on calm lake, other days I want to be smacked in the face as I'm standing at the precipice of my doom.
The internet has definitely been a boon to musicians and bands and fans seeking something other than what's on the radio.
Same thing I do every day.
Would be cool to see one of the big Wembley shows or a European Festival.
And check this LCD Soundsystem story out.

It’s pretty amazing how fast they sold out Madison Square Garden. I think I’m going to post it’s own thread, just to give people an idea about how indie bands that most people have never heard of can sell out a huge arena. At the same time, top 40 hitmakers can rarely tour.
Muse is huge in Europe, much bigger in Europe (especially the UK) than they are in the US, and they’re bigger in Europe, live than any band is live in the US. Leaving out the rolling stones and u2 and bands like that. But of current bands, Muse is bigger in Europe than any band is in the US. And I’m very much in favor of them winning the Grammy.
I’m still looking down this list. Great stuff. Jack White of the White Stripes won a Grammy for art direction. Tia Carrera from the movie Wayne’s World won a Grammy for Hawaiian.
That performance by that one old man made my night watching the Grammys.

You got it. Plus I had listened to a small sample of that song in question, on YT, and they did not screamed. Must have been my tv.
The sound issue is what my have tricked me into thinking, and I have an older tv to think that Arcade Fire sounded bad.
Are they the band that sings ‘Uprising’? That song rocks, and I’m a 38 year old mommy of four! Any of their other songs you would recommend?
Thank-you for your good word on country and western. :)
I never heard of Arcade Fire either. I checked out a few of their tunes on YouDoob, and they are simply awful. It’s perfectly fitting that they should win a Grammy.
Heard that the band in question dedicated that song to the recent protests in Egypt, something like that.
I saw a YouTube video from YouTuber Johnny Paula (”jpizzle1122”) about the Grammys. He mentioned everyone’s favorite ‘WTF Girl’, Lady Gaga. She apparently emerged from some sort of egg cocoon for her number, plus she had on some sort of weird flesh-colored ‘extensions’ on top of each shoulder that made her look like some kind of alien.
Last award show she attended, she wore the ‘meat suit’. This time, it was a giant egg. Meat and eggs? A couple more awards shows and we’ll have a Grand Slam at Denny’s.
Yes, that’s Muse.
Time is Running Out and that whole album.
Knights of Cydonia. from the last album.
Huge in Europe, 2 days in a row at Wembley Stadium.

Zac Brown is nothing short of true genius or maybe his music just hits close to home. Then again, most Country Music does.
What do you think is good?
Hysteria
Undisclosed Desire
Fury
Thank you very much! Too bad they weren’t around in my college days...this is the kind of stuff I would have bought and listened to in a hearbeat :)
I’ll be checking more closely into their music via your suggestions.
They’re opening for U2 in stadiums in South America next. 1 show in Chile. 3 sold out Stadium shows in Brazil, 2 sold out Stadium shows in Argentina, one still has tix left.
This is the hugeness. U2 is the headliner though. But Muse is a global band basically, and we don’t really have too many of those. The bands from the US that do well in Europe aren’t necessarily those that are on the radio in the US.
You were in college in the early 90s? There was a lot of good music then.
