Honestly, if anyone who is fluent in Palinese can translate this babbling gibberish, I would be eternally grateful.
WTF is she talking about?
And the next line...
"What goes on in Egypt and throughout the Middle East affects America."
Wow, Captain Obvious, please pick up the house courtesy phone.
Incidentally, Michelle Bachmann was on Dennis Miller this morning. She was funny and quick-witted, insightful and she spoke in complete English sentences. What a remarkable juxtaposition to this blather.
But maybe we would have become independent of arab oil early on.
Have fun and use that thread to practice on until you get the hang of it. In fact links are simple if you aren’t using any other HTML within the post. All you have to do is copy the link and post it in your reply and it will be clickable as that is what I did in the orginal post to you. But if there is any other HTML in the post it won’t be clickable.
We would have learned to become independent earlier. I know Netanyahu once tried desparately to get Israel independent of US money.
Err...okay. But I’m one of those gals who always had to ask the boys to change my typewriter ribbon...back in the days of typewriters. LOL
‘This is not some nickel-and-dime operation. This is TIME magazine. “
It’s Time magazine, it is expected of them. Perhaps I would give Pissant a pass if this happened on occasion.
It fit Pissant’s agenda to slam Palin, and therefor met the only criteria he was looking for.
Give it up on the botched quotes allegedly by Sarah...even indylindy just saw the video and noted that Time Magazine messed up her words, why do to take liberal media word for things straight up? is the media a friend of yours?
That isn't what was said.
Did you put your ears on today?
The Time article is a fraud! The judge’s interiew does not contain any suggestion that Egypt’s aid should have been pulled, but rather that it should have been monitored. NEVER believe the MSM, PA! Bob
Sarah Palin is saying we need an accounting of the money spent on these countries. That when we pour money into a foreign situation, we should expect that the money is being used as intended. What's wrong with that?
I listened to it with my own ears. THAT is EXACTLY what she said...
"It's right for Americans to try and figure out who's on first"
I speak three languages, and I communicate with people for a living. I have no clue what she's talking about, and I presume she doesn't either.
To say that she has stumbled locutions, would be incredibly kind.
I guess you know nothing about baseball terminology used in everyday language.....”who’s on first”?
Sheesh!!!
This is not what you posted the first time; You erred in your first post.
Hey bigIDIOTmike - I can take childish liberties with your moniker, too. See?
Please, if you've got something intelligent to add to the conversation let's hear it. It would be a nice change coming from you.
If, on the other hand, you're just going to lob ad hominem attacks on fellow posters, perhaps you should just keep that pie-hole of yours shut. Just saying, sport.
The guy never heard the expression? Does he live in America?
The first is taken verbatim from Time's transcript. The second is my own personal transcript, that I discerned from listening to the clip twice. As best I can tell, there's only a one word difference - Time thinks she says "and", while I believe she said "to"...
Time - "Its right for Americans to try to figure out whos on first isnt his situation."
Me - "It's right for Americans to try and figure out who's on first"
I have no idea who's right - but I can't see how "and" or "to" makes any material difference with respect the fuller jumbled syntax. Either way, the sentence is strange.
Ref. post #1.
I agree fully.
So, you're alleging that Sarah Palin is making Abbot & Costello comedy callback references in the middle of the most singularly destabilizing Middle East event since the Iranian Islamic Revolution.
And you think that is better?
I'm not surprised you're taking with Palin. Not surprised at all.
Either she is trying to play it both ways or she's not clearly articulating why, sometimes we need to do things that appear to be immoral or unethical.
