Excellent point. The thing is, there are a large number of Obama supporters and dumbass "independents" who see this and think "Wow. Obama really DOES want to incorporate the best of what Reagan stood for, and what we believe!" Never mind that many of these same people HATED Reagan.
And, there are a huge number of leftists who are in on the "joke", and know the Marxist has nothing in common with Reagan and detests all he ever stood for, but take glee in knowing it will piss off conservatives, while cementing Obama positively in the weak minds of the "Useful Idiots".
Boy, no kidding!
I was laughing until I got to this one. That is really scary... plus Zero looks like a scarecrow anyway.
Howling!! LOLs to die from!!
OMG! Stop! the LOLs are scaring my cat!
Thank you so much for this ping! LMAO!
Despite the best efforts of leftist historians, history has been very kind to Ronald Reagan. Reality crushes their narrative.
So now, liberals have to imagine some way to explain why the Reagan legacy grows with time. The only one they can come up with is that he was a great salesman who pulled the wool over everyone's eyes and convinced them that his evil plans were good for humanity.
The only thing the left really hopes to co-opt from Reagan is his ability to speak directly to the people and convince them that he is right.
Clinton had a good deal of that skill but Obama has little to none. The media constantly tries to convince their dwindling audience that he has the gravitas of Reagan, combined with Reagan's down-home delivery that reaches the masses, but its an impossible sell.
He's Erkel with Marxist handlers.
Well said. Now that the “senile” tack doesn’t work anymore, I think they favor the slick salesman angle.
And so, in order to prove this thesis, they put Reagan next to an ACTUAL great salesman who pulled the wool over everyone's eyes and convinced them that his evil plans were good for humanity? Anybody with an IQ above room temperature can see the difference.
