China is trading soon to be worthless dollars to tin horn dictators in Africa and South America for hard resources (and populating colonies in those countries to protect those assets). The dictators are squirreling these dollars away in Switzerland. Somebody, somewhere, is not going to get a chair when the music stops...

but because they can’t sell their products to the U.S. if they are too expensive.

Maybe China will just sell this crap to the Europeans (its largest trading partner, the 1 billion Chinese domestic consumers or the 1 billion Indian consumers and just turn its back on the impoverished 300 million or so American welfare case consumers... China doe not need the American consumer. China needs a weakened American military and a submissive POTUS...
