Too true. If I’m at a venue and someone is out of tune I want to scream at them.
You must be a musician. I play guitar, banjo, mandolin and electric bass. (I have a fiddle, but it has not frets. Can’t seem to do anything with it.) I think I spend more time tuning then actually playing. I’ve played with some really good guitar players that couldn’t hear that their guitars were out. Drives me completely insane.

Kind of drives the point home that there are instrument players (mechanics) and musicians. A musician knows his/her instrument is out of tune.
My problem with the fiddle is not the lack of frets (that’s what the ears are for), it is the bowing technique. And that fiddle is tuned the same as your mando.
I know how to tune the fiddle, but can’t keep it tuned. A friend of mine worked on it. He said the fiddle was fine, it was the bow. He made the fiddle sound incredible. I can’t even get it to make any noise, even with a different bow. I think I’m going to stick with things that have frets. ;-)
That explains the total lack of such a result from ABBA or Barry Manilow.
Ain't that the truth! I play the drums in 2 bands. I'm on a musical "high" for days after a gig. We just played a great show on Saturday and I'm still feeling it. It makes you want to go right back out on stage and do it again. Thank goodness we have another gig this week, because I'm jonesin'. LOL!
