I like the colorized films. They often make the movies quite different from the B&W versions; so—if you like the movie—you get to see two different versions of it!

It’s fun to watch for the differences. Silly, but fun.

Some colorized films look very good, even fooling the viewer that they were filmed in color. The WWII series, The War in Color, is a good example, although I think it was a mix of colorization and color film. The techniques obviously improved over time. Biggest complaint: flames looked too orange. Don't recall seeing “Wonderful Life” in color version.

I must admit to not caring too much for It's a Wonderful Life. Don't know why...no accountin' for taste. So...I haven't seen it colorized, either. Generally, I love B&W movies. The older Hitchcock movies use amazing light and shadows. I just love old stuff. :-) It fits!

I agree. The best black & white films were made with the characteristics of that medium in mind; thus, colorization could detract from their intended impact.
