At a restaurant in China:
Customer: What’s the catch of the day?
Waiter: Black Lab.
Maybe he should start with a house plant and if that goes OK, he can get a gold fish.
“Judge a man not by how he treats his equals, but how he treats those who can not defend themselves.” (Not sure who to credit, so I’m going with who I heard it from... -Mom)
No dog should be allowed anywhere near Michael Vick. There is a new book on the rehabilitation of the dogs that survived and the tales and photos are horrific.
For someone like me, who just adopted an 11 year old dog (sweet as hell) from the ASPCA where she was brought after spending 5 months in a darkened garage with very little food and no vet visits, I have no patience with animal cruelty. When Mr. Vick’s daughter grows up she can get her own dog.
Joel Steinberg has now paid for his crime. Maybe we should allow him to adopt another little girl. I’m sure he learned his lesson real good.
My mom said the same thing. She insisted we have household pets as children to learn empathy and to care for helpless creatures. Best lesson I ever learned.
I’m so sick of this POS and how the media and sports fans glorify him. He’s nothing but a sadistic thug. Screw him.
Yes the behavior that Michael Vick exhibited by torturing and killing animals is psychotic behavior. It shows a complete lack of empathy for other living beings. This is the type of behaviour exhibited in serial killers. First they kill animals then move on to people.
I do not believe that a person who is capable of doing the incredibly cruel things to an animal that Michael Vick did can change. Its not like changing your mind about something. Its an inherent psychological character flaw. Psychosis cannot be cured. Michael Vick should never be allowed to own an animal again in his lifetime.
Not quite the same analogy, especially since pedophiles are considered to be incurable, therefore, they should be locked up for life and never returned to society. They are not able to be rehabilitated.
