Well first, I have to commend you for such a great handle.
I love Talisker on a cold night. Not you of course. LOL
Your “event” took place in the Redwoods? You live here in the Bay Area?
As for the tree, had a similar incident in Felton when I was 14. The neighbor called screaming about some gigantic “crash” with a thud.
We couldn’t figure out what happened but I can tell you it was harrowing.
The tree fell into his barbeque pit around 4 in the afternoon.
Very sobering to see all those branches hammered into the ground like fence posts.
If he and his family had been cooking that day could have been something awful. We all imagined being impalled by a branch and stuck, right there in the ground.
On the positive side we got 3 cords of wood after a week of chainsaws, axes and a very helpful neighbor who lent us his gas powered splitter.
So a friend I fished with tells me about hunting wild pig and he says stand next to a tree you can climb up, quickly.
If you get lucky and shoot a pig, drop your rifle and climb the tree - immediately.
While you are up there, you better have a .44 so you can finish him from a safe vantage.
He said even then wait to see if the “little” bastuhd is alive and only come down when it bleeds out or stops breathing.
I would like to try it someday.
I'll have to take your word for that, couldn't get past the smell of them being cleaned at the hunting camp. The fried spam was quite excellent that day.
Napalm it.
I have and I never went out with her again.
Well, I guess there’s no real reason to go back to bed tonight......
ha ha! It’s very good in the short version too.
If it is a true picture and the thing ruined the camera it would seem that it spotted it and for some reason angrily broke it. It may have stared at it a bit before destroying it. In that case it must of had some kind of mental ability to be suspicious of it in order to want to destroy it.
It looks like a speed skater via night goggles. Look at the pose.
OK that’s odd.
The photo you linked to is exactly the same, from a longer distance, same photo number, same timestamp, but the datestamp is different.
Yet it’s in the same font, at the same location on the shot.
What’s Allen Combs doing out in the woods?
