The price gave a nose bleed but it was worth it.

Sweet!

I love Kimber. My friends are amazed at the price tag but when I tell how I proved my decision to be correct in terms of reliability and dependability they are duly impressed.

I met two cops who steered me to the Kimber line. They had shot 3,000+ and 4,500 rounds respectivelly with zero cleaning and experienced only one failure each.

I thought “The Horrors!” but decided to replicate their experiment.

I ran 3,000+ rounds through my Kimber Tac II and had the same results.

Scared me to death as an unclean gun is just plain sacriligeous.

Spent two hours carefully cleaning it up and will never do that again.

Now it only takes 15 minutes to clean it perfectly with no lint anywhere.

Repeated the experiment on my new Springfield M1A with zero failure. I did so because the ads showed M1A’s being tossed into sand, mud and water with immediate firing after only a shake or two so as to clear the barrel.

I will never do that again and love these guns.

Oh! One last thing, I love the beavertail safety built into the grip.

Love the Meprolight sights.

Only one slight gripe is the safety requires my to manipulate my hand sideways and forward to thumb off or on.

Looked at another way though, is if you are in safety, you have to think about flipping it off

You can't go wrong with a Kimber. A little high on the price side. But you have to consider what your life is worth.

It is one of the best pistols I have ever owned. And that is saying much.

Believe me, if two cops were willing to do that to their guns and my results were the same, I totally trust my Kimbers.

The 1911A1 is most likley the best pistol ever made.

I have an old Colt .45 which I still like but I just Love my Kimbers.

May even consider one of their rifles next year such as the Model 84M LPT, Model 8400 Tactical and Model 8400 Advanced Tactical can be ordered with premium accessory kits which include Leupold® scope, rings, and bipod.

All my scoped guns have Luepold mounted sights and I love Luepold.

Funny story is I have a Remington 770 that came with some scope for about $450. Hated the stock scope and replaced it with a Luepold Mark 4 3.5-10x 40mm.

My brother thought I was crazy to spend 3 times the dinero for a scope as I paid for the gun but when he tried it he ended up replacing all his scopes for Luepold.

There is another scope made in Germany I would love to have. Can’t recall the name right now and they are some $3,500. Lot’s of Moollah and that will go on my SA58 SPR (Special Purpose Rifle). 308 Cal. - SA58SPR, when I can cough up some $4,800 bucks.

Total will be around $8,000 for the setup and may be my birthday present to myself next year.
