Well, as a nurse, I say eat your beets. Far, far too many elderly in the hospitals nowadays w/ severe dementia. It just seems epidemic, or at least it does to us nurses, and it’s not fun to see people like that.
I’m going to start putting them in my green smoothies, which, by the way, have increased my energy levels tenfold in the past few weeks since I’ve started drinking them.
Highly recommend a Vitamix machine, or something similiar to juice your veggies and fruits together.
Not trying to sound lib or anything...it’s just good for you.
Holey moley, I need more beets! A bit embarrassed here. LOL

It's the nature of the internet forum beast. Give people unlimited opportunity to screw up and they will.
This is the signature salad from my very favorite restaurant, The Oval Room in DC:

Is a Vitamix better than a Jack LaLanne juicer? One of my co-workers recommended that one.
Either one will have juice. The juicer is nothing but pure raw juice. The vitamix needs water added with vegetable usually cooked to become liquid. I owned both for 25 years.
It’s just hard for me to like a vegetable that looks so bloody.
YES!!! But it only works when you are by yourself.
