First the crappy Nike uppers started pulling away from the rubber soles. They have a rubber heel and clear foam thing now falling apart.
Nike's golf equipment is largely junk and most of their money is spent on you know who (Cheetah) for his hoes.
This is getting very embarassing for me around fellow country club Republicans. It is very hard to keep up the appearances at the club when your shoes are falling apart. The Islamic is destroying the economy.
I also have some loafers that could need repair. I am not light in those loafers like Charline Crisp.
Hopefully Willard...er...I mean Mitt will save us. It is sad that Nelson Rockefeller is not still around. He would know what to do.
I believe that shoo goo is basically silicone caulk in an impossible to use tube...
Don’t know, but Nike may need to change their slogan to ...
Just glue it!
:-)
Hubby likes the goo, I like E5000.
Golf in Iceland with country club Republicans?
Why should you all of a sudden care about being embarrassed?
You do that to yourself with regularity without compunction on FR.
Gorilla glue! Read the directions... glue on one side and water on the other. I use to glue work boots! $3 a bottle at Home Depot.
I’ve had good luck with shoo goo. Spit on your finger and it keeps the silicone from sticking to your finger so that you can shape it if necessary.
Have you considered a hot glue gun?
I have had good luck gluing leather with ordinary epoxy.
Start buying New Balamce...made in the USA. Nike is likely made in China... very crappy quality!
Don’t you know glue is owned by the Saudis and is advertised on Fox News? Stop using glue!
Probably chinese glue. Or vietnamese. Or from indonesia. Probably works best if applied by imprisoned orphan political dissident children.
I keep hearing in the media about this stuff Republicans always use on absolutely everything, called “Race Paste” but damned if I can find it anywhere.
I’ve been meaning to pass this along. I bought some silicone gutter sealant and used a tiny amount to put an end cap on a gutter. It turns out to be an exceptionally good glue for leather and remains flexible after it sets. It is probably pretty similar to ShoeGoo in chemical formulation.
shoo goo or gorilla glue
Watch television. A lot of it. 500 channels. You will find the answer!
Any repair will be temporary at best. Might as avoid the frustration and buy new shoes now.
Donate your old golf shoes to the Goodwill and claim a big deduction a-la the Clintoons.
Say a few kind, prayerful words over the golf shoes and bury the Chinese crap out back. Take up target shooting.
Liquid Nails is too inflexible and brittle. I just used E5000 and it worked great. Shoe Goo I’ve barely had a chance to use before it sets in the tube. I don’t see how people can use polyurethane (e.g. Gorilla Glue) on shoes because it expands so much when it reacts with moisture.
better not to golf
(just kidding)
Just sayin...
