Appliances 1. Turnkey Linux

First launched in 2008, Turnkey provides pre-configured virtual appliances based on open source applications. Their most recent offering is a backup and migration appliance, and they also offer LAMP stack, Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, File server, Ruby on Rails, and dozens of other appliances. Operating System: Linux.

Appliances huh? What about Dishwasher, Blender, and Refrigerator? Does it have those too? Just kidding all you Linux junkies.. Don't flame me too bad, but I have never heard the term "appliances" in software descriptions before.

Here are some I like:

http://www.archiveclipboard.com/ (great for capturing lots of screen shots)

http://www.nestersoft.com/timeleft/ (count down timer)

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/save-and-restore-desktop-icon-layout-in-windows-vista/ (I use 2 monitors and this keeps my desktop icons in place)

http://instant-eyedropper.com/ (show the RGB color of what you are pointing at on the screen)

http://www.jingproject.com/ (free screen capturing-I use it daily)

http://ekot.dk/JPEGCrops/ (crop lots of pictures to same size at once)

http://sourceforge.net/projects/notepad-plus/ (brilliant!)

http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/ (free pdf creation)

http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfsam/ (split or merge pdf files)

http://www.posteriza.com/es/index.php?lang=en_US (convert a picture into a huge poster)

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897434.aspx (ZoomIt has a count down timer, gives ability to draw on screen, and zoom in on screen)

Enjoy...

Does anyone know of an app that can sort the folders in a windows system by size? I want to find out which folders have the most junk in them. Thanks.

Here is the corrected link for 15. SilentEye.

You duplicated the link for Securefolders.

This thread is relevant to my interests. I shall peruse in a more fulsome manner at a time when work commitments do not require my attention.

Bump for later, IOW. ;-)
