T-Virus ping.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

The vet used the wrong stuff. Good thing it wasn't the other way around, which reminds me of a joke.

A man takes his dog to the vet and says, “Doc, I want you to put my dog to sleep”. The vet get a syringe and gives the dog a shot, dog immediately slumps over dead. The man wraps him in a blanket and says “Do you think he will stay asleep until I get to Abiline where my son lives? This dog really hates to ride in the car”. (I;ll admit it isn't a very funny joke, it is veterinary humor)

As the poster on the website says, this dog isn’t meant to die yet. Let her be.

The ironic part is, he was having the dog euthanized because it had narcolepsy.

I read those so long ago, and there was so much in 4 books, I can’t recall it all. I remember his children playing “torsion of the uterus” (log-rolling) and Siegfried “showing up” James by using the “old-fashioned” method of bleeding on sick cows and it working, which was not Siegfried’s intention. Also I remember something hilarious about Siegfried’s brother Tristan pretending to be a monk ghost, or something. It cracked me up but I can’t recall the details.

The protocol for putting down a dog correctly involves a big dose of a sedative, followed by a few CC’s of potassium chloride.

If a large-ish dog is given just the sedative, they can come back out of it in awhile.

There’s no coming back from the potassium chloride. Ever.

Dang. Poor dog’s earned a reprieve.

Diagnosis & treatment by a different vet, at least.

I hate to think if he’d left her there for cremation (would they try to “correct” their mistake?) or buried her right away.

!!!

I’m pretty certain there’s a missed penalty call on this one.
We’ll research it after zombie pooch gets done dining.
